I watched Velvet Goldmine last night. It's an oddball masterpiece, a journey through a surreal world set to a pounding, pulsing beat of space opera. I loved every second of this gorgeously eccentric movie and I implore you guys to check it out.

One of the best I've seen and my absolute favourite when considering transgender themes is Ma Vie en Rose. Just brilliant, touching and not beating you over the head with labels and explanations. I cried like a baby. A dying baby at that.

Salmonberries is a brilliant art film directed by Percy Adlon and starring k.d.lang.

Just out of curiosity what did you dislike about Prayers for Bobby?

I know the question was directed at Lacuna, but I'm going to butt in and agree with his score. Prayers for Bobby was a touching and possibly thought provoking movie, but the importance of message doesn't equal artistic value. I have a sentiment for this film, but still I find it rather... melodramatic.

Yeah, Rock Haven is pretty good.
Has anyone seen Private Romeo (2011)?

Just watched Private Romeo last night. It was awesome!
Though, sadly sometimes I couldn't understand completely what they were saying because they were saying things like "thee" and "thus" and saying everything as if it were a poem or something, and they were very good at it.

The King and Clown is really great. It's a Korean drama and is dead romantic. Watch it, you won't regret it.
