Hey, I just saw Boy Culture after reading your post and it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't understand was Gregory's story. I did understand that his whole story was a lie, but what was the truth about him?

I just have to say that after reading this thread, I watched Prayers for Bobby last night. I haven't cried during a movie in years until then. It was really good.

Until yesterday (after reading this thread) I had only seen The bubble (Ha-buah) in the cinema with some cultural organisation. I think I liked the movie, but I didn't like bad endings then and I didn't know yet I could be attracted to guys, can't really remember what I though about the gay interactions anymore. Now I'm trying to catch up on watching some gay movies : )

I liked Transamerica, and Prayers for Bobby made me cry almost the whole movie, but I loved it movie (and Bobby looked cute too). I tried to watch Shelter, but I got bored after watching 5 minutes.

Now going to watch Brokeback Mountain

I'm adding The Curiosity of Chance to my list . It was a really good movie.

Milk is my favourite for sure. So powerful. The ending made me cry, and I very rarely cry during a film.

I've seen a lot of them, but my favorites as of now are Saving Face and The Four Faced Liar. Brokeback Mountain made me cry too. Enus reminded me of my grandpa; the way he held his emotions in and carried himself.

'Saving Face' is one of my favorites, mostly because I can relate to the difficulties of being gay in a Chinese community.

Watched The Curiosity of Chance last month, and although it was a bit lacking, it was pretty decent.

Watched Patrik 1,5 just now. It's definitely one of the most touching and adorable LGBT movies I've watched.

Yes, Patrik 1.5 is a great movie.

Has everyone seen Shortbus (US 2006) yet? Definitely worth the effort. My smile was right across my face and tears rolling down my cheeks - an unusual film - quite erotic - but really worth getting hold of.

I really like Shelter Zach is really cute. I had to watch it on youtube. Only had parts like part 1 then part 2 etc. Prayers for Bobby is one of my favorite lgbt movies. Very sad movie. Ryan Kelley (Bobby) did really good playing Bobby. Prayers for Bobby was on LMN which means I had to watch it with family.

I like "I think I do". It's a movie that focuses more on the relationship aspect rather than the coming out aspect, but it's really funny. It's on amazon video (for amazon prime users) or youtube, I think.

My list is horribly lacking (I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain OR Milk...), but I like the lighthearted comedies (but not overly campy films) more than some of these dark ones.

Were the World Mine (LOVE this film)
    Make the Yuletide Gay
    Friends & Family
    Patrik, Age 1,5
    Adam & Steve

And, not a real one, but in my personal canon Treasure Planet counts. (The male lead in a Disney film has no female love interest, and the movie is all about trust between a boy and his father figure. I'll believe what I want.)

    Boys Don't Cry
Imagine Me and You (LOVE it)
    Loving Annabelle
    The Curiosity of Chance
    Brokeback Mountain
    But I'm a Cheerleader
Prayers for Bobby (i bawl my eyes out every time. especially when he's having all those flashbacks and it ends with "i will not have a gay son")
    Better Than Chocolate

and now i have a list of more to watch :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You Should Meet My Son is one of the most hilarious movies I've seen in quite some time.

Brokeback Mountain was so romantic and sad. One of these days I really need to watch Shelter and The Wedding Banquet. And lots of others!
