Straight pill. would you take it?

No - because it won't improve my life.

Still:
I won't be "hot",
some people will disagree with my lifestyle/decisions,
my life will have difficult moments.

Plus, taking the pill is giving-in to conformity -> a cop-out

 

Maybe. I wouldn't take it for society though, It really doesn't bother me how they feel about that [plus, society has so much more they can pick at about me lol]. The only reason I've wanted to be straight was so that I could have kids. I know I could adopt, but that might make life harder for the kid in the future [for having two dads]. I also think that certain things that happened to me would not have happened if I was straight. I like being gay [well, bi lol] because it makes me different, but at the same time I dislike it because im different [not sure if that even makes sense, I blame the lack of sleep lol].

 

Now this may seem a little selfish but women were designed to be beautiful... if I took that pill than I would be giving up on women.. If I am not being judged for being gay it would then be for something else so why give up something that makes you happy...

Once upon a time, I probably would have jumped at the chance to take a straight pill, but not now. Now, it's like I'm a member of a really cool club and I finally found the bar that everyone's been talking about. Honestly, it took a long time for me to get here, but I'm happy with this part of my life, and I don't think I'd be as happy if I were straight.

 

at first i prolly would have. but...now i have a certain *AHEM* reason i wouldn't wanna change:love:

 

a year ago, i would have loved to take that pill. high school is rough and there are a lot of people that hate you for being who you are. ive seen a lot of gay guys at my school getting bashed just because of who they are. back then, i hated myself because i was gay. i didnt want to be hated for no reason, and i guess that's because i care too much of what society thinks. but over the past year, i think ive grown to accept myself a lot more. i cant change that i'm gay, and now that ive come to accept myself, i figure i wouldnt want to change it even if i had the chance. and i agree with greg. lets go give straight pills to the homophobic people. =)

Yup...if i had a choice i wouldnt do it...its soo much better being gay...i couldnt imagine life any other way

We are who we are. Taking a pill to change that would be like a self admission that you're ashamed in who you are, what your life has shaped you to be.
Plus it would probably have side effects like constipation :rolleyes:

I'm fine with how I am... but I would like to have my family love me completely with no secrets.... It would be nice.


I would like people not to hate me because of how I was born..

I would rather not make people feel uncomfortable just because I was around.


Yeah now I say screw em... and I don't care... but if I could just not even be interested in guys anymore.... I don't know why anyone (down south) wouldn't jump at that...


I guess where you live has a lot to do with your choice.


But really..most importantly...

I'd still have my best mate... the person I care for more then anyone else.
