Well since I believe it was them who ruled I think that gay marriage be allowed in California, wouldn't they kind of revoke Prop 8 anyway? I can't recall who allowed gay marriage last time, if it was the Gov. The House, or the Senate.

I think last time, the court ruled that not allowed gay marriage was a defilement of the states equal protection and equal rights laws.

If it is overturned on Tuesday, it'll be a great day for me: my last exam is on Tuesday too

Let's all hope for the best.

Re: Prop 8 ruling on Tuesday...

The state supreme court ruled that the CA constitution did not define marriage strictly as a union between a man and woman. The propostion is an amendment to the CA constitution adding the strict man and woman language. The state supreme court ruling will cover (1) if proper procedure was followed in passing the proposition, (2) if the equal protection/right clause prohibts the change, and/or (3) if marriage of two people is an inalianable right and thus regardless of popular vote or constitutional amendment can not be denied. At least thats my understanding of it.

    I am hopeful.

I am no longer taking ethics, so I have a hour and a half break between my remaining classes. hopefully it will have been announced by then.

I just want religious fundementalist whackjobs to get a brain and notice they do not have the right to subjugate other groups under their hate.

I hate prop 8. It should have never existed. If Prop 8 is killed, that will be a happy day. If not... eh, just a boring day and life shifts on. Anyway, I'm being optimistic over this and I hope prop 8 is overruled.
