Funny responses you got when you came out

Ohmygosh, he totally is. But he's also the type of guy to make fun of me for it and be extremely verbally abusive to my mother and I. I dunno, it's messed up.

 

At a local bar with a former coworker/friend of mine.

Former Coworker: How long did you know you were gay?
Me: Since I was young.
Former Coworker: Oh, so you had a crush on a little boy, then?

I had a fairly funny moment the other day - which like a lot of my recent stories was at Belfast Pride - a friend of a friend turned to me and said, "So are you gay"; I replied "Yes, I am.". It was a little disconcerting when she replied "okay" in a rather less than believing tone!
Another occasion I told a friend, and his immediate response was "join the navy". :s It was a bit of a reference to a previous conversation though, so doesn't ntirely make sense to outsiders. Still sounds funny though.

can't say I haven't gotten that thought. I told my one friend i was trans and her responce was "I KNOW you're a lesbo,what's your point?"
Idiots. Your psych figuired out how that comment was dumb though, right?

 

I have this horrible feeling the Psychologist never picked up on it.

 

I told my mom yesterday. The conversation went like this.

Me: I'm gay.
Mom: Huh. Looks like your brother won't try to beat you at wrestling anymore.

She's hilarious!

 

I work in a small cinema and the managers and workers are all very close. Back before I was a manager I was telling everyone about this 'youth group' I go to. and people thought I was suddenly religious and started questioning me.
"what kind of group is it!?"
and then I explained to my manager that it was a GLBT youth group, and he was like so taken back by it and he was like "ohh.. what are you?"
and I was like "bi."
and then he was like... oh aren't you a bit young for that.
and then I asked him how young he was when he realised he was straight, you know the usual.
anyway later on he came up to me and said "i'm not homophobic! I used to work at Myer(department store) of the 102 men that worked there 3 of them were straight I was one of them!! I'm not homophobic blake!!"

haha the funny thing is, I never thought he was.

 

Haha my mum went something like (idk because this was ages ago)

"…Do you have gaydar? Is [my brother] gay? Your grandmother always wanted a gay relative to take her shoe shopping."

She's cool. Nobody's ever not been cool so far with the shock revelation that I love penis.

 

I told a friend in a McDonald's drive-thru and he just looked back at the menu and said,
"So what am I going to eat?"

I told my best friend, Avery, and she said,
"Matthew, is it bad that I figured? I mean, I told my cousin, 'This kid really likes Whitney Houston.'"

 

Roommate on trip:Are you gay?
Me:... Yes
him:Want to make out?

 

So did you guys make out? haha

 

Me: I like girls and guys, guess you could call me bisexual.

Friend: WHAT!

Me: Yeah.

Friend: should i be afraid?

Me: Haha, why? I'm not a rapist for fucks sake. I'm Jethro X, the same guy you drank at The Arms with every weekend back in highschool.

Friend:
I'm chilled with that bro, as long as there's no attraction towards me. I'm a big homophobe. Always been. Actually [other dude] is the only gay dude i can stand.

I was out with some of the guys from my course, out after are last exams. we had had some awkward moments when gayness came up and I was thinking to myself,

"fuck, why can't I just tell them"

So we are in the club and one of the guys is making a joke of me being gay, but he was like I am kidding people call me gay all the time it doesn't matter, and I was like well its different for me, naturally he was curious as to why, and I'm like cause I am gay... anyway

other guy asks what we are talking about and the guy tells him i have just said I'm gay, response...?

"You better fucking not be!"

turns out he thought we were kidding and afterwards he was very sheepish explaining he had no problem whatsoever, well the other guy was pissing himself.

 

:icon_redf no, I still have yet to kiss a boy. I was/am too shy and he was first person I came out to. It also didn't help that I had just met him a few days prior to that. He wasn't bad looking though.

 

SAD DAY! You'll get a hot make-out with a guy some day though. :lol:

Friend 1 (girl): "Phil's gay?!?"
Friend 2 (guy): "Oh my god honey that should so be a statement and not a question, you have met him"
