Hey glad you are feeling better about it even though it's only slightly. The improvement will continue just a bit at a time.
When you have been living the straight life for 20 or so years regardless of whether you were aware of your same sex tendencies or completely unaware it takes time to adjust. You have spent to long keeping something under wraps, even if it is subconsciously that to then just let it out feels weird and strange and unnerving but you will get there .

Yeah I've experienced this I think sometimes people freeze because they don't know what to say and then in their slight panic they say nothing. Just keep putting it out there people or at least some of them will come around.

Thanks. It was interesting 'watching' my reaction from outside myself while I was there. Somebody on here (it might have been @silverhalo?) commented once to the effect that they were was totally OK with everybody else being gay, just not themself, and I think that describes my initial feelings pretty well!

Well it may have also been someone else but it is definitely something I say frequently. I was almost as horrified with my own internalised homophobia as I was at the sudden realisation I might be gay.
