I just realized this is my one year anniversary on EC!

I just got placed into a Starcraft bronze league... WHAT THE HELL?

 

Ok, so...definitely one of the craziest days at the office. My mentor was helping me look for jobs to start applying to. We found a really awesome one in a Jobs and Family Services Office a few counties south of me, north of Columbus. It's in a really nice district. I'd be doing assessments, making sure that people are taking care of their kids and stuff like that. Helping people apply for welfare and disability and whatnot I guess. I think I'd be really good at it. That's the good news.

So, now the crazy part. I was working on the application when this old man came into the office who I had never seen before. Which isn't unusual. People come in and out of the office all day everyday. But this guy was so out there. He's a hardcore fundamental Christian and he was raging against the school district, the government, wouldn't shut up about how corrupted everything has become because we've taken God out of everything. Then he started shit-talking the probationers which really did piss me off. He was like, "You should just cut a finger off every time they relapse." Totally crazy, out there things. Then he went on a really long rant about Mexicans, called them every slur he could think of, and how the drug problems in this country is totally their fault, and that we should invade Mexico. And then he started talking about how he used to be suicidal and how he can't teach anymore because his bitchy soon-to-be-ex-wife told the schools he was subbing for that he had been in therapy for 15 years and had undergone electroshock therapy for his bi-polar disorder. And then he said he was there to file contempt of court papers against her and it was just really crazy. And he wouldn't leave.

One of the new police deputies was hanging out in our office at the time coincidentally and he had his hand on his gun holster the whole time that guy was in our office. I guess that old guy has been to the courthouse a few times over the last couple of weeks and he's been harassing the employees in the Clerk and Judge's offices. And I guess his divorce is being finalized at the end of the month and the police chief is going to do the courthouse security himself that day because they're legitimately scared this guy could come shoot up the place. Pretty scary stuff.

And then I totally broke girl code, which is something I've subscribed to my whole life, and told my mentor all of Love's secrets and where she stands with him because, after a year, he's not just my mentor, you know. He's legitimately someone that I admire and look up to and I consider him a really good friend. And he deserves to know the truth. If Love ever found out though...she would crash her car through my window. I'd be deader than dead.

 

During a gift exchange at work, I got a $20 gift card to Macy's. And now that he holidays are over and things are getting marked down, I figured now was as good a time as any to buy something name brand.

I go there, and it looks like all the clothes I would fit are gone. Was looking for a hooded sweatshirt and it's as if all they have left are Smalls, X-Large, and XX-Large.

Settled for a light Nautica jacket. I have a coupon that lets me save on items that are already marked down. So I bring it to the counter and ask if I can use it on this item and the cashier tells me that the Nautica jacket is "Marked down to Everyday Value."

....What the $#!@* "marked down to everyday value" even mean?! Looks like Macy's has their sales. And then they have their "sales".

 

I can't go on Tumblr with my sister in the room. >_< I was on my dash, and I saw a post of a mostly naked man. >_> My family is so religious and conservative, so if she were to see that, she'd go tell my mother that I was looking at hardcore gay porn....

And then the paranoia kicks in: if she found me on other forums trying to find a bolt hole away from her, then she could find me here. Oh hells bells.

 

2 MORE DAYS TILL IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL!

Back to routine, back to friends, back to 'being out'.

Cannot wait.

 

I think I feed off of stress. Now that I think about it, there is always something that I'm stressed about, and it seems to be because of my nature of constantly wanting to be better and feel better. Not sure if this is a good thing, haha.
I would consider it good when it's school-related; it acts as a reminder of my ultimate goal in life.
When it's personal and affects my emotions... ha, kill me.

But anyway. That moment when a guy starts hitting on you but you don't find him attractive... awkward.
