Chat Room???

I've been checking in every now and again, and I always seem to find it empty. I think Kimi's idea is nice ^^ and is probably the most plausible.

 

Perhaps something to try - rather than logging finding it empty and leaving again, why not log in and leave it open in another window or tab while you're reading the new stuff on EC or whatever. The longer you stay in there while it's empty, the more likely it is that someone else will come along and see you there.

Also if you do find someone else in there and they don't respond straight away, leave it open as they are probably off looking at something else for a few minutes

I actually had a nice chat on saturday night ^^ and for a few minutes, there were three of us there~

I was also in there. I did as Paul suggested and logged in then stayed in even though it it was empty. A while later while I was off looking at other pages, I was wondering what the incessant "whoosh" sound from my computer was. As it turned out not one but two other people had joined in that time. Unfortunately there were only three of us there briefly before one left, but it was fun none the less. I also had a good chat later on with someone else.

 

i might try that, just log in and wait and see.

i also had a good time on the chat room. i did find it a bit hard reading the chat and a bit hard because it was very quick but it was good.

we spoke again last night on the chat room, there was kimi and ob66 amd me . it was really good to talk. i still however find the chat a bit fast and hard to keep up with though.

 

I have problems with MSN etc with this too. It's OK if there is only one other person, a little bit difficult to keep up if there are two others, and beyond that it gets too confusing for me.

It depends whether people are all talking together or whether there are more than one conversation going on. It also depends on how quick everyone is typing. You can find that by the time you have typed your response there have been a load of other posts.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you said "Hey guys, can you slow down a bit please? I'm having trouble keeping up with you."

 

Yeah I notice that when I'm on the chat room I manage to type 3 lines by the time others have typed 1. woops

Spoke with Newkid the other day ^^ just to let you know, we're still getting use out of the chatroom

 

It doesn't seem to work right. Either it's quite buggy or my browsers are failing. I tried with my beloved Firefox and then with Internet Explorer, and it runs incredibly slowly on both of them.

 

Define "Slow" - does it take a long time for your text to appear on screen? Does it take a long time for the page to load? a long to log in? etc
