Being Turned On

Mostly videos for me; a story (sometimes) told visually. A still picture of sexy person doesn't do much for me, even if the sight of the skin turns my head. Unless he's doing something interesting, in this or that position, gripping his recipient just so... Similarly, I don't get turned on much in public, but then I don't see people doing provocative things there by my standards.

I can get turned on by my own reflection occasionally, but I think that's more because I know that I'd be up for it unlike a "90 something % chance he's straight" stranger off the street.

Even after watching porn, when I'm actually "using" the thoughts about what I've watched, I think about what happens to me in that scenario, not so much what it would look like.
Sometimes I think I'm attracted to sex with men, not men themselves.

You're extending a generalization about gender into erotica. Erotica is something different- it's something that both men and women enjoy although there may be slightly different aspects that the genders find to be a turn-on.

Most well-rounded porn magazines and websites have a stories/true confessions section. For example, Penthouse had a section of "true stories" that were purported to be submitted by their readers that were very popular. So, there's a large group of men who find erotic stories to be titillating, whether it's a written story or a war story told to them by friends.

 

Yay, that awkward feeling when you contribute to a thread. Since I'm my age, liking erotica and stories is purely hypothetical (<.< >.> <.<). Similarly and purely hypothetically one might like painting a picture for themselves rather than relying on an actual visual representation. Awkward...

 

True for me as well. Our imagination can be more powerful than random images that you find on the internet :rolle:

 

To be honest its both just thinking of terms such as "dick" or "penis" turn me on and salivate my mouth which i have no clue how since ive never done oral, but images usually do it too. I remember that i was actually ladies, but in reality it never happened, never got an erection except for one gf i had from a kiss and i wasnt even into it. With guys its different its both in life and imagination.

I think it varies from person to person honestly, but I know that a romantic novel or erotic story will send me into a frenzy. I also have very little physical contact with other people so if I'm attracted to someone and I have contact with them for more than just a few seconds it really turns me on. Mostly my imagination does it I guess. I love being held though. Someone that hugs me from behind or holds me will for sure turn me on. ^////^

 

"What turns me on" is too wide a net to cast. Pictures, videos, sounds, touches, sentences, thoughts... I'm probably leaving some things out as well.

 

I forgot about sounds and smells too. I'm really sensual so really if there's a good ambient setting and someone pushes my hot buttons the right way I'll be on fire. However, getting in my pants is different than turning me on. I'm afraid of sexual contact with another person, so I'd have to really know someone well and trust them before I let them do anything. :icon_redf

 

Yeah, stuff like that too, but for me it's mostly clean smells like shampoo and certain lotions. Like Coconut Lime lotion is the biggest one for me. It just smells so good. As for sounds... Yeah that one is really sexual you can probably just make assumptions on that one. :icon_redf
