Anyone else have a massive amount of stuffed animals as a kid?

When I was really young (2-4) I would carry a stuffed Blue from Blue's Clues with me everywhere. The problem was, it was such a big toy it was basically the same size as me :lol:

Then I used to carry my stuffed cat Elka with me everywhere, but I lost her once. I was so upset afterwards my family ended up buying a duplicate to calm me down

 

I was given a teddy bear when I was born from my great grandma. His name is Beatie bear and he has a felt nose ,curly, honey coloured fur and a purple velvet bowtie. Apart from him I had a tonne of other toys like barbies and horses and dragons and stuff. When I was eight me and my friend tortured the barbie dolls and decapitated their limbs.

 

I had a load of them, and I gave them away in two batches, once I donated some of them to a children's hospital ward, and another time I gave the rest away to a jumble sale held by a school for cerebral palsy where my grandmother teaches.

But I loved them so much. I used to make them act out complicated stories and things. Lot of fun. I must have had about 20 of them.

But I remember one of the best feelings I had when I was a kid was, after I'd donated my first batch of soft toys to the hospital, I closed a door on my finger and I needed stitches so I went to that hospital. And before the operation, my mother brought me all the ones I'd given there, so I got to see them one more time :')

 

Oh my gawd! The Cheat! Ah! I've gotta have one! Oh, hell, I already want half the merchandise on the Store page. Did they have the bear holding a shark? I want that.

 

I had 1. It went with me wherever I went.

I still have tons of stuffed animals! Bears, cats, wolves, Snoopy, and now Ponies. I so love my Build-A-Bear My Little Pony friends, I can't wait for Princess Celestia to go on sale, and I even bought the Gala dresses for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

I needed life-saving surgery when I was 5, and I still have the Snoopy hugging Woodstock that my Mom got to comfort me.

Also, now don't tell anyone, but I sleep with my Funrise Rainbow Dash every night. Dashie is the bravest Pony, so she helps me with my anxieties.

 

I had some... but then i got a puppy and he destroyed them all. I don't mind though, as he himself is kind of fluffy and cuddly and keeps me warm in the winter. As long as he doesn't start rolling all over the bed, i'm not frail but... a 50kg dog, rolling onto you, not so fun.

Ah i wish there was someone who could buy me a teddy bear, or a seal... They have these really nice white stuffed seals at the aquariums in Istanbul. Shame though they cost an arm and a leg.

 

I actually found a box of old teddies today! I had a bunch, mine also had names, partners, kids and favourite foods & drinks// yay for teddy bear tea parties.

 

Awesome! I love to hug a stuffed animal. They never judge, they're always there.

 

Yes! OMG, I had this stuffed dog that I got when I was born. I would bring him to kindergarten with me I also had this big stuffed lion that was my favorite pillow. I would fall asleep with my arms around it. Ahhhhh memories....:icon_bigg I'll bring Woo, my stuffed dog back to college with me for sure

 

I had so many that eventually I couldn't fit them all on the bed with me anymore. My favorite was a bear I had since I was two or so. I ended up naming him baby bear because of Sesame Street, he's packed away with my baby stuff right now, but I always used to hug him around the chest and eventually all the stuffing compacted to his stomach. xD

He also had a few years there where his eyes were white because the pupils rubbed off, thankfully my mom coloured those back in for me though.

 

Ever since Toy Story 2, I have never been able to toss any of them. ever.

Every time I think of it, Im' reminded of that scene where Jessie is abandoned :icon_sad:

 

Yeah, actually now that I think about it I did. My favorite was spot the dog.

I think the poor guys must be all stuffed in a big plastic bag living in the barn at my parents house. I must rescue them if they haven't been thrown away yet. Spot at the very least.

 

I am a big teddy bear collector, so I still have a lot of my teddy bears.. Whenever I used to go for a blood test or a specialist appointment, my reward was getting a teddy bear from the hospital shop and I usually got one when I was sick from family and friends. I just love them and a lot have special meaning to me, so I don't wanna get rid of most of them. I still occasionally sleep with a teddy bear too, mainly when I am feeling lonely or sad.

 

Yes Like 50 :lol: and I would sometimes line them up in my bed and I would play school with them. :lol: :roflmao:

 

I used to play school with my stuffed animals too ^_^ I don't think that's too uncommon.

 

Yes.. I still sleep with atleast one teddy bear by my side.

 

Yes. I still have a lot of stuffed animals, actually. I love to collect them, especially cats.

 

I still have most of mine. My favorite is a bear that my mom and dad got me when I was born. I have one I made at build a bear with my dad and then there's quite a few I've collected since then.
