Yes, I love kids, but I'm not sure if I'll have them biologically or not until I know the risks of passing on my Tourettes to my kids. I really want to but I might have to adopt which is also a good think cause there are so many kids out there.

I think about it every once in awhile, particularly when my mom gets to feeling sorry for herself because she doesn't have any grandkids, but then I remember how much I dislike children and it passes.

I suppose there are some aspects of having kids that are somewhat appealing, but for the most part it seems like a lot more of a commitment in time, energy, money, etc. than I'd want to make and it's not like the world is gonna run out of people any time soon.

I don't think so, but never say never, right?

And my dog is my child. And he's a handful.

No, I'm poor and besides I never had an interest.
If my girl comes with them, I guess it will be time for a crash course, but otherwise my answer is NO.

If they perfect cloning, I definitely would.

It would be sorta cool to make 3 new versions of me, spaced two years apart in age, and see how they developed, and how similar and different they all were. Plus, I think they'd be fun to have about. And they could do dishes, clean the house, chop firewood and such.

Children are awesome. Having children feels like the right thing to do. I don't want to be alone, or to leave nothing behind. And if I meet someone that dislikes children, then it is "Bye, Felicia~" for him. And I really pity people replacing children with dogs. Don't know why. It's sad.
    I think I'd make a good parent.

Nah. I reaally really just don't like 'em. If they're not crying they're having so much fun that they scream breaking my ears. I'd get a dog or a cat, most definitely dog but I'm allergic so no :frowning2: Maybe I'll have a lizard one day. Or perhaps could get a roommate.

Why is it sad? Dogs are easier to take care of. They don't require constant attention and they don't spend 90% of the day crying and whining and I don't have to change their butt every hour and a half.

And they don't keep me up all night screaming, either. I'll take a dog over a baby any day of the week.

Given that Children take up an incredible amount of time and resources, plus there are enough people in this would who are pumping out offspring, I don't want to raise children.

Obviously it's preferable to not be alone and to have someone to pass belongings to, but I'm not sure that it's good to have kids to avoid being alone.

I'm 33 and should have a 16, 15, 11, and 3 year old. 16 and 3 mine. 15 and 11 step daughters. Came from a big family so a baby around isn't anything new. Kids are a blast. I've spent many years thinking of adoption and wished I followed that instinct instead of the "conventional" way.

Yes, a boxer named Brodi who was perfectly content being by himself if I wasn't giving him attention. Give that dog a chew toy and he could entertain himself forever. Had him for eight years, but he's been gone for a while now. :frowning2:

I already have tread on this matter, but, I'll answer anyway.
Have one toddler already but I would love to have at least one more, but not in a very near future since I'm not in a good period of my life either mentally or financially so I'm already struggling. (but getting by).
Feel like the dysphoria is worth it, but it's easy to say when all those endless nights of crying are over..

As for someone saying dogs/other animals are easier than children. Are you kidding me? Get an adult dog, maybe but a puppy or any baby animal?
I had no experience with children whatsoever before, wanna know how I managed? I've had loads of pets all my life, it's pretty much the same. With the only difference that children start talking with actual words after a while....
