I have a habit of making a Sim named Herb and starting him in a crappy 2 room home (a tiny bathroom and a larger, symmetrical room for everything else) with almost no money and working his way up from rags to riches. In the first Sims my older sibling s would get A bunch of user created items, particularly ones that looked like they were salvaged by a hobo. Alas, many of those downloadable items have been lost to time. I really want to play the Sims one again but the only remaining copies are prohibitively expensive and I'm weary about free download sites.
I once had a challange game where my sim was a homeless teen with only 100 simoleons to his name. he had to garden his way out of homelessness. Unfortunately I had to restrain myself because I was playing 3 and was In Sunset Valley where I know all the spawn locations for high value collectables.:bang: ---------- Post added 18th Oct 2015 at 08:26 PM ---------- I'm hopeing they will as well, although I don't think 3 is a total fail. But EA can salvage it if they pull their heads out the asses they managed to salvage 3 in my opinion.
I'm just hoping they'll stop releasing those dumb stuff packs all the time. They're a bit useless, I'd rather them just focus on expansioms.
Those stuff packs are so dumb, they should go back to their roots and just concentrate on cool expansions like they did with Sims 1 and 2.
I love the sims. I started playing TS3 when I was about eleven, and since then have been trying out all of the sims games that I can get my hands on.
People were screaming hallelujah over the lack of a store but then of course EA had to eff things up again with that stuff pack mumbo jumbo. Currently playing Sims 2 as we speak, my sim's kids just got into private school.
I agree about too many stuff packs. I was fine when it was one per expansion pack, but now it's gotten out of hand. The Halloween one especially, in the past they would have probably given that one to us for free like they did the holliday one. I like the game pack concept however I feel they would have been better off making them into full expansions some how.
I'm meh about it as well, the whole parties, clubs, and what-nots have never been on my need lists. I'll probably buy it cause it adds more to the game and there something here and there about it that i'm excited about but the. What I really want is a weather/ season system the whole sun up, sun down thing gets boring and unrealistic quick. it doesn't even need to be a full expansion for me just a game pack I liked the weather/season system for 3 where you could pick and chose what weather and seasons you want and how much you wanted.
There wasn't any more specific poll options, so I picked "No, but used to be" I passively like sims, and from time to time I'll play it, but I wouldn't say I love it o3o Also, I will never buy the game because of the absolutely awful structure they have set up.
I have all the games... sims 1, 2, 3 and 4. I absolutely LOVE the Sims 2. Still can't get used to pudgy/weird heads in Sims 3. I like sims 4, but too many features are missing, so I rarely play...
There are definitely some things from 2 I greatly miss like open restaurants. I just don't understand how you can take something that was already open and worked fine and turn it into a rabbit hole then remove it all together.
