I personally am bi, but I don't see everyone being attracted to both/all genders. I know some straight lbgt allies I have talked to who tell me that while they support gay rights, they personally see no attraction at all to people of the same gender.
I think sexuality is a spectrum, you have two ends representing exclusive hetero/homosexuality and then everything that falls between the two as well as those who fall outside of the spectrum. I think some people can be very adaptable when they have to be and therefore go against their sexual orientation, even if they are at the extreme ends of the spectrum, but that does not make them bisexual. Orientation is the natural state of our sexuality, but our actions do not necessarily reflect this. But that's going down a rabbit hole which makes no sense when I write it down. So no, I do not believe that everyone is bisexual.
No, it makes sense lol. l'd say this is me. Although in my natural state l am homosexual. l was pretty adaptable. l can't explain it. l'm neutral to penises. Some people might say it makes me less gay but l do know that given a clear choice between men and women, l'd choose a woman every time. And that it's with women l require zero emotional attraction with to be turned on. That's what made me flexible, for some people that's enough so if l wanted to l think l could have easily "pulled off" bisexual behavior for a longer period of time than l did. But one shouldn't have to just pull it off and true bisexual attraction and bisexual SEXING will always be two different things. Some bisexuals unfortunately are just "pulling it off' though lol >_>
No. I think bisexual people are more common than society would like to think, but by no means is everyone bi.
Maybe I'm missing something really obvious, but how is saying everyone is bisexual a biphobic statement?
well without proof yes...it's taking a bunch of apples and calling them grapes. Saying that nobody is bi is the same...nobody is gay or lesbian or pansexual or or or. It sounds phobic to me
Claiming everyone is bisexual is not a form of discriminatory speech against bisexuals. It is merely empirically denied, wishful thinking.
they said "No" all people are not bi, an by saying "No" they feel like it's a biphobic statement in denying that all people may be bi. Lol
It is now time for confusion resolution. The question presented by the original post is "Is everyone bisexual?" The claim is "no, and to say so [that everyone is bisexual] is a biphobic statement."
Doesn't it do the opposite? Doesn't it include them with the (supposed) majority? To say nobody is bisexual would dismiss their experiences, and consequently be biphobic, by that reasoning.
No, it dismisses the experiences of everyone who doesn't identify as bisexual. Really, I think this whole confusion is just the result of a misreading...
