    Martin, can you get away for a few days and stay with family and friends while your dad calms down and your mum tries to make him see sense? This is obviously a huge shock for your dad and he needs some time to take all this in.

    Does your dad have any unhomophobic friends that your mum could talk to and who could help your dad through this.

    I hope your mum will be able to make him see sense.

    Wow Martin, I am so sorry to hear that your dad's taking this so hard. Being your Dad, it'll be hard, but try not to take what he's said to heart. From what I've seen around here, you're a great guy, and hopefully he'll realise that too (and soon!).

    I hate not being able to log on until 10 pm... I am always the last one to be there to provide support.

    Martin, *hugs tightly*... try to ignore him... that's what I do with my really ultra homophobic grandparents... it's rough and difficult, but it's necessary for us to keep our mental health.
