    It went really well. He gave me a hug and said I'll always be there for you, I cried my way through a lot of it but it felt really good to finally say it out loud to someone. We've been friends since primary school, he didn't really see it coming but he didn't hesitate to accept me which made me so happy even if I was a bit of a mess. Thanks to all of you for your support I don't think I could have gone through with this before. I finally feel like I'm actually looking forward to the future.

    I'm honestly surprised as well, I feel a lot more motivated than I did before and a lot less doubtful about everything. Part of my is kind of giddy like I've dreamed about it so much but to think I can actually believe I can go through with it is a first. I have an idea of the steps I need to take and I'm more sure of my identity than I ever have been in my life. At risk of sounding like a broken record thank you all so much, I don't like to think where I would have ended up if I stayed in the closet, I was in such a dark place and part of me was resigned to just being miserable, I'm so glad I found this place.

    Sammy.....We are glad that you found us too! :old_smile: The closet is indeed a dark place. What I think is more destructive though, is that secret that so many of use have kept for such a long time. That secret eats at us and causes so much damage. Until we tell someone that secret, until we destroy that secret, we can never truly be free. It's that freedom that we feel when we come out that feels so wonderful. A little frightening at first sometimes, but very soon we can feel the weight lift and our new-found freedom from the tyranny of that secret is truly wonderful!

    I got drunk enough to come out to my Dad and he told me it was fine and that 'It's normal nowadays' I'm so happy I was so worried that becauase he waa older he wouldn't get it but he told me he just wants me to be happy. Thank you I love you all so much you helped me finally be who I am I can't stop crying I'm so happy!

    Very emotional but I'm mostly out of the closet to friends and family. It's amazing to think none of it would have happened if I never came here. Thank you so much.
