I've always loved the name "Jason". Named a hamster it, and it was pretty much the first name that came to mind for me. For my middle name, I just went for the masculine form of my middle name which nets me Michael.

Honestly, Byron was one of the first names that popped in my head. I knew Lord George Byron as a gothic writer but I'd never read anything by him and knew nothing about the guy- I think the sound of it just struck me as "right".

I'm not even sure why Byron struck the way it did. I remember making a half hearted effort to find a name but it was Byron without question- though I did, for a time, briefly consider Brian.

    - Edit- Apparently it means "From the Barns." Make of that what you will...

As for a middle name, jury's still out on that. That, I was going to let my mother choose but considering her general opinion of my gender, eh. As long as sounds good with Byron, whatever.

I am literally so uncreative I just happened to masculinse my first name, resulting in Shane. It was easy for people to adjust to, thought it fit me well, so it stuck. Somewhat the same case with my middle name.

I like the name Emma. It's simple, short, and feminine. Don't know of the meaning, I've always liked it. Plus, my last name starts with "M" so they could call me "Em" if they weren't used to/comfortable with "Emma."

"Lea" sounds like a nice middle name, and together it sounds like Emily!

I chose Felix because it means happy and I'm usually happy.

When my mom was pregnant with me, the doctors told her that I was going to be a girl, so the name that my parents would've called me was Martha. I feel that this name fits me; plus it had a defining reason that other names I considered didn't. My middle name is actually a last name of some of my ancestors and is pretty neutral; I'll keep that but I want another one.

My given name meant "Son of Matthew", and I was always real hung up on that for some reason, so it's the first thing that came to mind. I looked around a little, to be a good sport, but nothing really stuck the same way; Matthew was just right. Plus, my family can still call me "Maddy", I just imagine it's "Matty".

Arthur is a family name, and would have been my given middle name. It sounds great with Matthew, and it satisfies my Medieval obsession nicely. Matthew means "gift of God" (haha take that haters), and Arthur means "bear" (or something).

I honestly don't know what mom would have named me had I been born a boy. Even that she keeps expressing how much she didn't want a son and how it was her "Worst fear", she probably didn't come up with one.

Never picked out a female name for myself those times when my gender swings that way. Seem unable to do it, somehow. Not sure what (if anything) this means...

Everyone reminded me, my mom would have chosen my name the same way if I were born female.

When it comes to Ximena. Its pronounce Hee-mena. Kind of like the spanish last name Jimenez.

X has a j sound in English. For instance some translations of Mexico can be Mejico, but officials didn't like that because it was the Spanish dialect and and they preferred to use X instead.

Anyways just thought I'd chime in there.

I chose Tony because when ever i played house or barbies,(like a good little girl ) i was the boy and that's the name i used then. the middle and last names are combined names of two gods.

For me it was simple, I just picked a female variation of my given name that was with me since the very beginning: as a child I looked very feminine and when people would ask me what my name was, I would say "Andreas", my given name, that is, and they would automatically assume I had said "Andrea", and so they would say "oh, hi Andrea"

I'm still trying to choose something that sounds right to me. So far no dice.

My mom insists that Byron sounds "black" and she prefers Benjamin. I dunno. I don't look like a Benjamin, not feeling it... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I have a gaming buddy named Byron. He's a big, white trucker. So the name should work just fine.

As for my name...I'm still not 100% on it. I've been running with Andromeda Jolan to see if I like how it feels. I picked it for 3 reasons:

    1. It lets me keep my initials.
    2. Andromeda because I've always been obsessed with astronomy, and jolan means "violet flower."
    3. A Gene Roddenberry tribute. (!)

My mum told me once she was convinced she was having a girl when she was pregnant with me, then pretended she never said it after I told her I'm trans...go figure xD
