When did you first hear that being gay is a "sin?"

    Probably in grade 7-8 (age 12 or so) in Catholic school. Thankfully, even though my teacher taught it was a sin, she made it clear there is nothing wrong with being gay and likely several of us in the class were gay.

    15 years later there are at least 5 of us in that class of ~30 I know of to be lgbt.

    I first heard that being gay is a sin from my best friend... Right before I was going to come out to her... Which I ended up not doing...

    I've heard that it was weird when I was kid but a ''sin''? Only on the internet when I was around 15 or so.

    About 3 years old; first time I heard of what it was too.
