that's kind of insulting...lol...and besides we didnt say that Resident Evil was the best movie, we're just saying it was good....besides I'm into the whole action-packed film where the females dominate....dunno why....

    The Bourne Ultimatum.
It was good, but I'm not wild about action movies.
I am, however, wild about Matt Damon.
So that gave it a leg up.
    Heehee.
I'd like to give Matt Damon a leg up.
    :]

Dude! (Can I call you "dude?" Well I'm gonna anyway...) Anyway, I am the first person to go see a cool looking indie movie, and go to local film festivals, but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes enjoy some of the big blockbusters or seeing stupid films like One Missed Call. Which was INCREDIBLY stupid, but I digress.

The fact of the matter is that stupid useless movies are always going to be more popular overall than funny smart touching ones. That's because the bulk of humanity is stupid and useless and wouldn't know quality if it did them up the ass.

And then there's people's different tastes, like I'm pretty sure I would HATE The Darjeeling Limited because I know the kind of films that director makes and they're really not my cup of tea, plus I have no real interest in No Country For Old Men. Whereas I think Titanic is one of the best movies ever made but I know there are many, many people who can't stand it.

I've seen a lot of indie movies I've thought were dreck (like Napoleon Dynamite... how people enjoyed that, I have NO clue) and many blockbusters I've thought were really great (Titanic, X2). And vice versa. Plus I've seen an insane amount of straight-to-DVD films that are laughably bad but I still keep watching them because occasionally you find one that is really, really good. Like last night I saw Boy Culture which was really cool.

    Just saw a Thai Film

13 Beloved (2006) - It's about a guy who loses his job and is in serious debt when suddenly a phone call comes along offering him a chance to win 100 million if he completes 13 tasks.

It went from being a comedy to a suspense thriller. Really cool.

I saw The Golden Compass yesterday.. I wanted to see Sweeny Todd, but my theater didn't have it playing for some reason..so I settled. The only reason I wanted to see TGC the slightest bit was because of the talking ferret(don't ask :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)..the movie was kinda..bleh. I laughed so hard when the polar bear asked the little girl, "Do you wish to ride me?". Xp
