    How do I navigate nosey people over this next week (aka what're you doing for mothers day? You should do at least somethingggg for her!) without seeming ungrateful or instantly killing the mood? How can I manage all the feelings I have without erupting at somebody? (whoops at last year). At least this Mother's day will be one of the last of the firsts without.

    Ugh that sucks! My friend lost her mom a couple of years ago right around Mother’s Day. She also had a baby that she had to give up for adoption and does not have any other children. Mother’s Day is definitely rough for her.

    Yesterday was the release of this wonderful book called "We are Everywhere" written by two amazing historians who have spent years looking and curating these stories.

    Its a photo essay tying the queer movement's history by looking at it through an intersectional lense. Its focus its also queer liberation and not history through the whitewashed lense of the mainstream lgbt culture. Its the first time I have seen a book of its kind in a medium that is not overly academic and hard to read. Its fucking beautiful.

    If you want to learn more about our history and the many, many battles we have gone through then get this. Its amazing.

    One of the things that I enjoy learning recently is that the fight between the more radicals queer and the more mainstream gay people is an old fight. The good news is that the radical queers will always be the ones that get shit done.

    We now celebrate Harvey Milk and Stonewall Riots, but many of you all would be bitching about how radical those two things were if you were alive back then. You would probably look down at them and blame them for straight people seeing us as "too much". The irony of it all.

    We have got to learn our history if we want to save ourselves. A must read.

    Finally got an amp for that guitar I've had sitting around for almost two years. And man, I have no idea how to play this thing. :confused: Oh, well. That's why I got the amp, is so I can learn to play it.

    On a side note, I didn't even know they made amps this small. It's perfect for someone like me who lives in a house with seven other people (one of whom is a freaking infant). Nobody else can hear how bad I suck at the guitar.
