    For me it's usually dropped off, but I've never bought high-end products or used Amazon Prime.

    If it comes by regular service, it might get delivered by the US Postal Service (UPS Surepost where UPS takes it from Amazon to your city and gives it to the USPS and they deliver it to your house, and a signature isn't usually required. But, remember today the postal service doesn't deliver because it's a federal holiday.
