I agree. Also I think it was important that you mentioned your experience as not being "canonical." We don't have to know we're trans from a young age. Sometimes our family situation and our own personal risk aversion prevents us from exploring our gender in a safe and healthy way. I think that it's just as true of gender as it is with sexuality. We are still authentic.

My family and school situations made it so I didn't want to be open about gender or sexuality. It took me over six years of a terrifying questioning and coming out process to end up with being bisexual and happy with myself in my 20s. Most of the pain of that process was fighting the losing battle of "being masculine."

You are not a coward! It's a scary thing to do! You'll get there, no matter how long it takes. Take your time, make sure you know what to say, how to answer questions. ^-^

I've been feeling like crap lately. I've been feeling so terrible inside and out. My mind is like a scrambled eggs of thoughts. I keep stress eating and gaining weight. I feel like I need to overcome this somehow. I just feel the feeling like your heart drops at all times of the day.

Im in the oddest position lately and I really really need to talk to someone live. I'm going to call the LGBT+ youth center tomorrow. I need to let these thoughts out vocally instead of keeping them bottled inside of me. Even if the regular person I talk to is busy...I'm going to talk to somebody.

Fantastic day today. I bought the boots of a lifetime and had a friend show me a few more makeup tips and then she even gave me the dress which is waiting for approval in my picture album.

Want a good laugh for those who are transitioning? Look at my old hideous pictures. Then compare it to my most current. There is hope, even without hormones. You can look beautiful or handsome. You can look how you want. Just work at it.

My Queer Theories term paper is starting to come along really well, and I love it

I'm writing about how Congress should amend the 1964 and 1968 Civil Rights Acts to protect LGBTQ individuals and their families from discrimination in employment, housing, credit, education, and the public sector. If anyone wants to read my term paper when I finish and it's finally graded in mid-May, make sure to contact me about it, and I'll see what I can do.

I just realized, on another site I never revealed my gender, and I got a reply using neutral pronouns!

HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF GAME GRUMPS BEFORE?????

Seriously. I think I have a friend who's mentioned them a couple times? But I've never watched their content.

And the post was me bitching because building a whole world from scratch requires a lot of explanation, and it's a pain in the ass.

When will they learn that "Don't worry about it" is not a valid coping strategy?

Well, I have to stay home and watch my little sister who isn't feeling well. This fucking sucks. I hate missing school. Especially high school. I'm going to miss 2 quizzes today. What else? This is the first absence from school which sucks because I like perfect attendance. No one else can watch them. I should calm down. Besides, it's just 1 absence. The teachers have their assignments online, so I can just look them up and do it.
