I'm scared I won't be able to make friends. It's weird because, people seem to like my positive attitude and the feel good vibes I always send out. I think I'm funny too.

I just can't get confortable with people until I've known them for a long time.

Try not to defeat yourself, before you have started. It's okay to needing some time to warm up to people or developing a sufficient level of trust to feel comfortable. I'm sure you'll make some friends along the way. (*hug*)

On the bright side, after that 'joke incident', I suddenly feel very heightened about my gender. Afterwards, I sat/laid in bed for a bit, and thought about and reflected on some things. I'm finally almost 100% convinced on my gender. Bad part of that, that just makes me feel all the more hopeless.

My boyfriend on Star Wars: “I don’t get Star Wars. You know, with those stupid guys in those white Tupperware outfits.”

    "You mean Storm Troopers?"

"And Darth Vader. I'd like to push him down the stairs."

Decided that I'm not going anywhere today.. my chest hurts, I have a persistent cough, my nose is blocked and sore, my body aches.. I feel like a bag of shit basically. It's all my grandmother's fault - she's infected everyone.

It's been a long time since I could wear shorts in December. Probably since I was in Tampa three years ago.

I probably need to stop thinking about the idea of changing my name.

Alternatively, I need to suck it up and test drive something I think would suit me better. But dumb things like even changing my usernames wigs me out for months in advance of making the decision (as much as I love the new updated name!) - how am I supposed to know if I'd be doing the right thing?

I don't know if I'd be able to deal with the part where my name would be obviously unfamiliar in everyone else's mouths. But doing it would make adjusting to my new pronouns easier for everyone, and it would be nice to feel like my name fits my face.

But mainly, it's probably not something for me to think about right now.

A group of strangers yelled "I wouldn't stick my d:***::***:k in that" to me before. I mean, I don't particularly feel like sleeping with you either random person I don't know, but I don't feel the need to yell about it. That thing between your ears? Yes it's called a brain, use it. Not all your thoughts need to be vocalised, and there's some thoughts of yours that I could really be better off not knowing thanks. Seriously though, who does this in civilised society? It's a strange world.

"Women are usually victims of sexual violence. When it happens to men, it rarely happens so we shouldn't give a shit."

Can I just say how tired I am of that mode of thinking? Makes me feel pretty alone. Especially when it comes from another guy.

Maybe I'll go shooting in the dessert instead of going to my gay group.

Worse is how many law officials are stuck in this mode of thinking. It's not women doing it, either.

You just described my first life problem. I've been studying for nearly three years and know like only 2 people well and have one friend.
So have a digital hug (*hug*) sniff

I want to change my studies.

My philosophy? Anyone (including women) can be an abuser/rapist and anyone can be a victim. It's not a gender thing. And it never should be.

Well, I meant that it's usually men giving high fives and saying, "That minor is no victim, he's lucky!" This came from a judge, too.

Tell me about it. A few years ago there was an online chat for White Ribbon Day in Victoria and the chief commissioner of Police for Victoria was online. I asked him when White Ribbon Day was going to acknowledge that men are victims too and his line was that the majority of victims were women and it wasn't a problem for men but they were welcome to report it, and they would be given helpline numbers (to help them control their anger issues). When I tried to continue the discussion *read told him he was an idiot* he refused to answer any more questions....
That's the official stance of the police!
I refuse to support White Ribbon Day at all. It's a disgrace.
