I've been here long enough that I don't recall how many What Are You Thinking? threads I've been a part of.

Right, I'm going to stay up even though I'm tired, because now that I'd fulfilled my appointment responsibilities for the summer, I intend to sleep all day and never speak to another human again.

I'm glad someone came by and took our wood that the trash people wouldn't pick up because the "bundle was too large"

This new thread is strangely exciting!

I have to be up all of next day and night so I definitely shouldn't have stayed up this late...

Ever since I saw that Manswers episode this afternoon about "how to tell if she's really a he" I've been feeling horrid :frowning2:

You know what, I'm done for today. I don't care. Two hours is enough.

Also, I can't help but shake the feeling that my professor keeps mansplaining things to me. When I told him I thought the makefile was messed up, he ignored what I wrote about what I thought the problem was and told me to check the include directories. (This would be roughly equivalent to telling a mechanic your car won't start and them suggesting that maybe you just forgot to put gas in it.) I'm still new enough to makefiles that I wouldn't be surprised if it was something silly in the end, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have compiled as far as it did if I'd forgotten to specify the include path for the external libraries, seeing as how the one time I forgot to set the environment variables before compiling it stopped almost immediately.

I feel pretty sick right now. I just had a horrible wave of sad emotions hit me and... I think it really messed me up... That's the first time I've cried heavy tears in a while.

I feel kind of bad about crying right now too... It's been an amazingly blessed past few weeks for me and I shouldn't be sad, but I am... And I really don't want to be...

He almost certainly is. Because it's computer science, and the sexism is strong in that collection of fields. If you want, I could try to debug it for you. You can post the output of "make" on my wall and provide the Makefile. I would think I wouldn't need your whole codebase, but if you have it, you could PM me your Github repository or whatever. (*hug*)

I think I've decided to be myself. Trying to be straight is a lot of hard work. Hey, being bi isn't too horrible, right? I mean, at least I'll be comforted knowing that I never conformed to society. So, I guess I just came out to myself in a sense. At least it's a step...

I've come to the conclusion that part of the reason it's so difficult for me to interact with people at the LGBT* center despite having gone there approximately ten months now is that while I see them regularly, I don't see them frequently. Once a week, at best, allows for too much time to pass between visits and whatever mingling I do, or don't do.

Sick of this cycle of feeling that I can't try to see some of the regulars more frequently unless I become comfortable enough to try to get in contact outside the center and/or make plans. And it's hard to be comfortable when I don't see them frequently....

Weird as it sounds, the inconsistent sense of acknowledgement or inclusion of myself is worse than if I was actively disliked [where I'd at least feel I made an impression on people.] Am I that uninteresting? :icon_sad:
