With respect to the passage I bolded above, what would fall apart is your idea of who you are...The work you are doing is one of self-discovery, where your deepest desires will eventually define you with more accuracy...and honesty. Take the time to be yourself, while trying to let go of the concepts that would imprison you, that includes any labels you may use to define your new understanding..."gay" works for most of us, but it's just a word, like "straight"...beware of labels, just be, and see what happens...
