Attended a Trans awareness/issues panel yesterday as part of the Trans Awareness week, it turns out of the four presenters, 3 were people i know. attended a Pflag support group after that and learned a lot about trans services that are available in the capital city, most services are in the capital. it was a good day and a bit of a victory for me as i have to travel about 100kms to get there.

As far as good positive things... Name is finally changing with my insurance, credit cards, etc. I'm hoping within the next few months my birth name will finally vanish for good. I still need to change my name/gender on my birth certificate and with social security but that's coming right up.

The DMV's gonna know me on a first name basis, seriously, between me changing everything and then eventually learning how to drive.

Just put my foot down and straight up told my parents you are sweeping me under the rug and I'm pissed off. My dad had no response. Wonder if he got the clue.

I just sent an e-mail where I came out to my grandparents. I'm hoping for an answer tomorrow. Hopefully positive, but I honestly have no clue what they will say.

I passed so well on the phone that I had to actually correct someone about my sex and they apologized for just assuming, but I told them how awesome it made me feel and I could noticeably hear their voice lift from smiling for the rest of the call.

Alllssooo. I am coming out to my coworkers one at a time. I'm finally just happy being me. No ideas about how I am supposed to be girly or how I'm supposed to me manly. I'm just me and people seem to like it.
Who would have thought that the military could such a welcoming and loving community?

Aaaand I went to a transgender support group and actually made friends!

I am wearing more and more feminine clothes out, my wife is on board with me presenting however I feel I should, and I'm finally starting to seriously consider asking to be called my preferred name.

On top of it all? I am officially thinking about getting my eyebrows threaded and saying "screw it" to anyone who doesn't know I'm transgender.

I'm about to come out to my mom and dad sometime soon and I'm buying hair removal methods as soon as money is good.

And I'm confident that this is the right choice. Nobody defines me. They never have and never will.

    How's that for "small victories?"

Came out to GSA yesterday and my sister today! Both were so supportive and said they'd use they/them pronouns for me! My sister's 12 and I didn't expect her to accept me, but she was 100% accepting!

Well... what I said to my parents didn't turn out well. However I'm with a dozen people who are super cool.

Whatever the case, you're still a grown ass woman in the end. You do you.

Got a new binder that's actually pretty darn comfortable. Okay, well technically it isn't a binder but it's a sports bra (I hate calling it that) from the same company that makes my binders. It doesn't bind quite as flat as my regular binder but it's a very minor difference. Should be good enough for me to work out in.

A few weeks ago, when my brother was at the emergency room getting an x-ray (luckily it turns out it was just a bad bruise, nothing broken), I introduced myself to the doctor with my preferred name, and then later, he was looking for me, and when he saw me he said "There he is!", and that was the first time I passed to someone who didn't know me.

Two steps forward three steps back. My wife took the news that I feel solid in my femininity and tried to prove t me that I'm making it all up. I know she is wrong but... she knows me.so well. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I'm not really a girl?
Anyway. On a positive note I came out to my brother who is a junior in high school and he said he just loves me and is surprised but supportive

Changed my gender and pronouns on Facebook! No one looks at that, but it's there!
