I just came out to two friends recently, and they're already really good at remembering to use my correct pronouns. Also, I found out that I can wear pants with my high school orchestra uniform instead of a skirt, which is pretty cool.

So my doctors finally finished the investigation to find out whether I have Asperger's (I do) and now they're finally shifting focus to my gender issues, which is what I wanted from the start. So I'm finally rolling towards transition at last.

I posted this in what are you thinking. It's sort of making lemonade out of lemons but...

I was walking down the road last night. Had a nice dress and jacket on with my new wedge boots with a like 3 inch heel.

I saw these loudmouth douches coming down the street. I knew something was going to happen. They were probably drunk and we're like stumbling around looking at stuff on the buildings. When I walked by they were like "that's a big bitch".

At least I was a "bitch" and not "that's a dude what a fag" type response. I bet if I didn't pass, things might not have simply resolved as I passed by saying nothing.

Shaming tall women (cis and trans alike) is abhorrent.

I'm 6 1 190 lbs and a black belt in karate. Had they chose to assault me bad things would have happened to them.

But I just walked past. Cowards with words only.

But like I said at least I was a woman to them.

I got this metallic blue. Absolutely radiant color. Maroon is a classic color though too. So much expression with just nail and lip colors.

Then it would've been time to add some more use to your heels; your wedge boots would've had an appropriate name.

As sad as it is that you still got something thrown your way regardless, like you say, you passed and that should say a lot! That itself must've felt great.

Ahhh I found a (new-ish) way/adjustment to bind (it's completely safe, I made sure of it) and it works so well! I put on my pretty tight v neck (which is basically the most "masculine") shirt I have, and my chest virtually looks completely flat. Feeling pretty good about it.

Oh and penta that's awesome. (*hug*)

Second post in a few hours in this thread...been a good day I suppose.

Finally got myself two pairs of men's boxers. I mean it was pretty nervewracking doing so, especially since I've never been the best at being calm and composed when shopping in the men's section. (Though it's mostly me making myself nervous more than anyone else really caring about what I'm doing.) But I did it! It wasn't too bad after all, I knew it'd be worth it, and I'm proud of my own courage for being able to do so. (Even though it's a pretty small thing)
The cashier kind of gave me a double take but whatever. I just tried them on at home and they're great.

That is such a cool feeling. Someone else bought my first set of boxers, the second time I bought them myself but I used the self-checkout. Now I've been buying men's clothes for years now and no one's looked twice, but boxers were new for me so it was a little weird. We'll see what happens if I ever need to use a real cashier.

    Well done, Jake.

Thanks so much Connor, means a lot (*hug*) Best of luck if you decide to buy some for yourself at the cashier! Honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought, I kind of just said a hurried thank you and ran off  Nobody else gave me a second glance ^^

I don't think I'm worried about the cashier giving me a second look for buying men's underwear, because I have extreme social anxiety and hate going to the cashier for everything. But we'll never know unless it happens.

I understand, and honestly self check outs are super great (just didn't have them at the store I went to so I only had the one option). If it does happen some day I'm sure you'll be fine, and good luck with it! (*hug*)

To all the guys out in this post I just noticed Jake and Connor. Some of the most popular boys names at my high school. Just mentioning it.

Also here's something you should remember.

Cashiers are part of a business. It's their job to sell customers things. Additionally, most people simply do not care. Finally they see probably a hundred people pass by their station each day. They probably won't remember.

Oh yea... we aren't as totally hidden to the public now so it's not a totally unheard that transgender people exist. I'd bet that the magazines at the front of the line probably have Caitlyn Jenner on the front of at least one. Yesterday at the grocery store there was while I was in line.

Also, walk up like you are the boss. Don't act fake because it's not fake, it's you.

Yeah, that's true. I don't hate going to cashiers because of what I buy, the men's section is really the only part I'm confident when buying, I can't even pick food to eat. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I just hate the small talk, or any talk for that matter.
