How can you say HOCD doesn't exists?

As a person who has obsessive thoughts and has been diagnosed with OCD a few times I do understand what the OP is saying. Homosexuality is completely different from OCD. I have been through POCD (thinking I'm a pedophile) Harm OCD (thinking I'm going to become a murderer, I avoid shows like Dexter etc) and many other themes; these thoughts are disturbing and anxiety triggering.

The main difference between someone who is either one of these things or homosexual is that the person actually likes the thoughts ie. OMG I just masturbated to gay porn, I must be gay! (liking thoughts, anxiety over other reasons) compared to I'm looking at gay porn to test but I feel nothing, but my mind keeps telling me I'm gay.

People with OCD don't actually have desires to act on these annoying thoughts, but they have a major compulsion to seek an answer, such as person A keeps thinking about giving a guy head, it causes anxiety, does not turn him on but he can't get the thought out of this mind. Sure denial can do a lot but the reality is that the person does not actually enjoy those thoughts, they could care less what other people think. The thoughts are persistent and intrusive.

That's why the key to beating ocd is to just accept the thoughts as they come and stop freaking out about them. This will drop the anxiety and either your feelings will come back for the opposite sex or you will be gay, either way, its about acceptance and OCD is about obsessing. Thoughts do not equal desires.

    Hope this makes sense.

But you said that acknowledging your feelings gives you anxiety. So does it give you anxiety or relieve it?

And when you say you masturbate to straight porn, are you in fact aroused? Because you still haven't answered whether or not you're actually attracted to men, women, both, or neither.

I feel better when I do a compulsion and I find out that I'm straight. I feel worse when a intrusive thought strikes me. I always feel aroused by straight porn, except this few days. Maybe this is advancing to depression. The price I have to pay for not seeking help promptly.

What I use as an excuse? facing my fear and helping myself to beat OCD. What I'm really doing here? seeking people who tell me "don't worry, you're not gay": another compulsion.

CLTluis, you need to let the thoughts just go over. If you do really have OCD and only a doctor can diagnose you, you need to stop seeking reassurance. If anything you can use this site for exposure...everyone's story is different. People can be straight all their life then realize they are gay or vise versa. It really just comes down to desire. Please speak to a psychologist who is trained in anxiety disorders and also has training in LGBT issues.

I don't feel like this thread is going anywhere.

The OP has admitted being arrogant (which he claims he can't do anything about, which, again, is completely untrue), he isn't interested in hearing facts, and doesn't seem genuinely interested in getting any help to find out whether in fact he's dealing with OCD, denial, or something else entirely, and on top of that, has managed to insult or offend half of the posters in the thread.

So, since after 3 pages, I don't see any progress being made, I think I'm going to take one of the suggestions above and go ahead and close the thread.
