i was going to write a very very very long winded response at this but i decided to settle on 1) The writer acts like the gay stereotype is a bad thing when in fact having that character portrayed actually works to show how there is nothing wrong with that "level of gay" 2) The writer is the one who appears to have a problem with effeminate gay people and some of his statements are clearly a stretch 3) I nearly looked him up so i could find where he lived and go punch him when he pulled this line out of his ass "Kurt seems to embody the ethos that gay kids must prove themselves by excelling at something as if to justify the tragedy of their sexuality." 4) the whole idea that Kurt "preys" on finn is fucking ridiculous, and only someone who holds the view that gay people do that would think that of that episode because it was focused on something completely different not kurt "being a predator"
Same. It's cute that they're sort of seeing each other now, but wasn't the whole point of them being just friends was to show that a common misconception people have is that if there is two gay guys, that means they should date. You know like "You're gay? My cousin is gay! You should totally hook up!" ... So the fact that they're now sort of dating, sort of deafeats the purpose of clearing that misconception up. Anywayyyy, I loved Trouty Mouth. xD I know it was short but Sam's reaction was hilarious. :L And I loved 'Get it Right' too. Lea Michele is such a good singer.
Thought so. It's a shame they decided to release it early, because with Glee's fanbase and with the strength of the song, I think this could have become their first Billboard #1 :S
I know what you're saying, I do, but fact is it's the same in the straight world, the only ones who will see that relationship as "big surprise, they're two gays" are the bigots plain and simple. I mean straight people hook up with each other in five seconds (*cough* Britney Spears *cough*) so what if they hook Kurt and Blaine up, we already know they're not going to end up together in the long run. He's a mentor not a boyfriend, and I feel that the whole "you're who I've been looking for" is kinda silly. One does not just all of a sudden fall in love with someone because they sang Blackbird. And don't say the feelings have been building, because to me they haven't really. It's like Blaine went from the guy at the Gap to Kurt because he was there. When Kurt decides he wants to leave for ND in the next episode or two (it will be in the next episode or two, the episode coincidentally titled Born This Way is episode 17 and last night was episode 15. We have to sadly wait till April but none the less.) Blaine will probably wind up breaking up with him because he'll probably get all pissy. Just a speculation but probably a right one. ---------- Post added 16th Mar 2011 at 11:47 AM ---------- Also does anyone else notice for every song, Artie does some action? I mean either raising his hand to Mercedes' songs, or the fishhook for Trouty Mouth?
Get It Right reminds me of Bring Me To Life by Evanesence at the very beginning. I like it so much more than Loser Like Me, which is also good.
I was thinking the same thing about Get it Right! I was like this sounds like an Evanesence song! I really liked Loser Like Me! It's going to be stuck in my head forever When Sue was all mad I thought she was going to punch Mr. Shuester, but she punched the drunk lady haha which shocked me!! It's not going to be on until April i think! Aaaah I don't think I can wait that long.
I thought it sounded a little like My Immortal by Evanescene. It's no coincidence that we all got that vibe Didn't like that song, but I enjoyed Loser Like Me (I just wish Lea wasn't singing as much in it: she'll never grow on me) :/ As much as I don't really like Blaine, I'm glad him and Kurt kissed. Finally, Kurt gets to be happy for a little while :icon_bigg
