    - I introduced myself: "Hi, I'm [name]'s daughter" and suddenly looked around with a confused face as if I had said: "Hi, I am Obama". Then I remembered to shake hands.
    - There was a subliminal, silent fight with me and one person about who had to give way to the other while walking. She tried because she was the "adult" and the host. I tried because gentleman. We always stood in front of each other for a pair of seconds. "You first", "No, you first". The same as between nobles in the street corners centuries ago, but reversed.

The difference between being gay and trans is this. If you are gay people have to deal with it. It is after all your attraction and they can't make you "not be attracted" to someone (though they can deny it all they like). If you are trans, for some reason, they think they can stop you from transitioning. And I'm like, hate to break it to you, but I've always been a boy. It isn't a "decision" you can "stop me* from making. It is who I am. Eighteen years too late I'm afraid.

Right? :frowning2: Are you petite as I am? Because then, screw it, you don't even take yourself seriously sometimes (and that's okay because it gives life to forum threads like this, where we can all laugh a little about dysphoria for once)

Passing for a lesbian shouldn't be hard if you look like a pretty boy. I grew up surrounded by Asian femininity subculture + anime + Kpop, and there's also something in thailand where lesbian couples are stereotypically butch and femme, only the butches there are much more like men. Look up tom and dees

    This is embarassing, but whatever.

"Why does «my vagina» sound so gross but «my uterus» doesn't? Maybe because it seems to have a female ending. Maybe I should call it... the vagino?"
    XD
    Shame. On. Me.

eh, if you look at my face from the side I look like a -almost regular- boy if I'm not smiling -and I usually have a rather sad facial expression- and when the stubbles are noticeable they give away everything, not counting I'm 5'10, which is average for a boy, a friend of mine told me that I look male but if I had breasts I would pass automatically as female and another one told me that when I cut my hair short I look like a lesbian girl ahah when I used to have a pixie I actually tried a lesbian dating app (I wanted to experience and I still told them I was a boy if the conversation was getting along) and I passed for female all the time and even people on omegle either asked me "boy or girl?" or thought I was a short haired girl, anyways I'm not even sure I care about how I pass too much anymore, paradoxically I'm keeping my hair middle lenght with an occasional small ponytail so I can look like a feminine boy and when I want a tomboy, people assume I'm a gay boy because I'm delicate and present as male, sometimes people can be confused in the beginning if that day I look (and if my voice sounds) oddly androgynous but in the end pronouns give everything away (especially in italian because abjectives are gendered so when you say you are something you mark yourself as male or female and there is not really a neutral pronoun)
I think thailand's culture would perceive me as a kathoey... or as an angee... I actually like androgynous women ahah

  9. Forcefully convincing myself that I look like a girl despite passing about as much as a large kidney stone...

I'm developing an habit to avoid words with "gendered endings". It's not easy and I can't do that all the time, but I find it funny :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Heat makes me ramble. 45 celsius degrees from the morning.)

«Hi people, I have to present you someone. This little friend:

    *
They are Mx Asterisk. They like to inhabit the endings of languages that have gendered endings, like neo-Latin ones. They colonize texts in random fashion like flowers in the grass. They are happily gender neutral and suit everyone like unisex clothing.»

They won't kill your glorious, ancient-rooted language. They will guide it through the future because language belongs to the speakers, not to the grammar regulators.»

Power to the speakers. Hurray to sociolinguistics. Hurray to Mx Asterisk.

Somehow, talking about trousers, I ended up having a debate with my mother about packing with socks. We laughed for a few minutes. Did she suspect I'm trans? No, nope, big nope.
