    No, it isn't based on a dodo, other then emulating the name.

    Small funny tidbit: Doduo can learn the HM Fly in the games, despite having almost non existant wings.

    When I liked Pokemon there were 250, now there's what? like a billion?

    I associate with the one's who are pressured to evolve and be something they're not. Pokemon Peer Pressure much?

    Yeah how in the living hell does it do that? Does it like run in the sky or use its heads as its wings cause i find absolutely no way for it to do that.

    Doduo knows how to fly but most already floating pokemon cant? :dry:

    Technically theres 495, if you count Giratina's and Shaymin's alternate forms which will be in Platinum XD

    Shaymin Sky Form = OMFGWTF cuteness =P Shaymin is cute herself, but god, sky form is adorable.

    I've never met anyone who liked the same two Pokemon that I liked. Plus, I was kinda weird and I only trained ice and water Pokemon...but yeah, these were my two favorite:

    lol i hate the new sky form! it's so bad that it makes me cry XD it was so cute before.

    When I was a kid, I had a notebook with the 100 or so original pokémon I made up.

    And I can't remember their names. ;_;

    But I do remember Twistari > Tornadon > Hurricania. They were ghost/flying.
    And... Leafully! That was the grass starting pokémon. It was my favorite, it resembled a cat. And it evolved into a grass/psychic BADASS.
    And there was Snowbell > Aurorabell...
    Fossil pokémon Shellee > Shellos or Shellium > Shellark.
    And... OH! And there was an electric/steel pokémon family that resembled nails and screws...
    Umm... I remember Embear and Flammabear were the fire 'starter' pokémon.
    And! There was a flying pokémon that didn't have legs, but instead two sets of wings. I liked that one.

    I even made the town and all the cities on Microsoft Paint. There were eight gym leaders, all the things you could use HMs on.

    GOD. I MISS THAT NOTEBOOK.

    I was so hardcoar.
