I feel like in some cases, it definitely does. especially if you are coming out as a gender identity. i also do feel, that it is a positive new person. when i came out, it felt like i could grow from there and create stronger relationships with people who accepted me, since before i was quite secluded and sheltered myself. it definitely made me more confident and made me feel like i had more of a voice. it also got me on the road to accepting myself, that can take some time too! i also have gotten to educate others (mostly my family), about things they never considered or thought were real. i mentioned in a previous post how much i enjoy/enjoyed doing that so i wont go too far.
