This makes me think of something I heard years ago......

Fame and fortune breeds contempt and ridicule.

And yeah, but politicians are real people and their power is obvious. The Illuminati...not so much. Really amounts to nothing more than "evidence" in conspiracy blogs throughout the internet.

Who is to say the Illuminati is simply a bunch of political frat boys?

Or perhaps those bloggers are in the Illuminati?

    Perhaps Rosebud is the Illuminati.

Well, I actually may want to become a politician, so if I do, I'll let you know when I get there

    My views only.....
I believe in the Illuminati to a point, but I don't think they care about actors or musicians. I do think that they affect elections and pull strings behind the scenes, manipulate the Federal Reserve, and have actively promoted big companies like Monsanto to corrupt our food supply. JFK was about ready to blow the whistle on the Fed., then he dies. Obviously, they can only make so many big moves to stay under the radar.

Do they control the whole world? No, but they are still dangerous.

Yeah, didn't they teach you about the truth behind all these "theories" when we converted you? I thought that was standard procedure.

I'm not sure about the Illuminati in particular ... but I do think there are some powerful secret organizations out there. Maybe there's one that basically plays the Illuminati's publicized role.

Yes, I definitely believe in the Illuminati. Alex Jones made them up, so they exist.

    Problem, reaction, solution.

    Alex Jones...

Every now and then he has a solid point, but it requires a notoriously long period of chicanery and whoa between them. Though I'll admit, he's pretty amusing, sometimes, when he heckles big-name politicians or businessmen.

Alex Jones' style is like Rush Limbaugh, except for anti-government folks. Shock and awe.

I would have some respect for Alex Jones if he weren't such a paleoconservative motherfucker who needs to die. But, we can't have everything.

He's got about 5% of a grain of truth about the nature of power though...

    I'll give him that much.

Well, there really isn't a whole lot left of the Bavarian Illuminati, and there really isn't any conclusive evidence of an organization claiming to be such having been in continuous existence since the original order.

However, I have a lot of Freemasonry in my family, and yes, we do control everything. Well, I'm not a member and don't want to be, but Freemasonry is still popular among the politically influential. I understand that some of the politically influential also shoot billiards, and a few of them even play basketball. It's just a silly club, and you don't even have to be rich or anything special to get in.

All these conspiracy theories are completely off-base, and I'll tell you why. The really powerful organizations are ones you don't even know about. I know of one and am even an honorary member. Former governors, vice presidents of major Wall Street banks, powerful lawyers, and so on. If you get around enough, you start meeting these kinds of folk.

I wish I could count that as a point in his favor. The problem is, as an armed feminist, I'm an extremely rare breed. Who hates me more? The feminists who are horrified that I would support the NRA if they weren't sexist, homophobic pieces of shit? Or the gun community who can't stand my feminism? Every time I go to the range, I feel like I'm in the enemy's barracks. It hasn't escaped my notice that the people who believe in gun rights are generally the ones who erase, minimize or fully justify violence against women, queer folks, and people of color. (They are also the ones statistically least likely to actually have violence done to them.) Alex Jones, in all the time that I've listened to him, (which is not an inconsiderable time I might add), has had nothing humanistic to say whatsoever about any group of vulnerable people. In fact, he finds caring about minorities petty concerns in the grand struggle, not unlike a Leninist or a Stalinist.

Oh, of course, of course.. If the Illuminati didn't exist, no one would be talking about it. There have been multiple incidences that have linked to them, including the heart attack gun.

Oh, I could make one of those. Just get some concentrated nicotine and a water pistol, baby. No mess, little evidence. Ricin would work, too. There are easy ways you could kill a person, so really, what makes this extraordinary? Why do you have to make up some super-secret, quasi-mystical organization for this to happen?

The world is interesting enough without having to make up stuff about it. I can assure you that truth is crazier than fiction.
