I played percussion for 10 years, but had to stop due to rib issues. I was in too much pain to play, it has been 8 months now and I still can't play any longer than 10 minutes sadly enough.. Once I'm fully healed I hope I can start playing again, but it won't be for the next year or so, I'm afraid! I didn't stop playing music though, because it really is a passion of mine, and because I really didn't want to leave the band, so I've been playing baritone and euphonium for 7 months now, and it has been great! I'm also learning myself how to play the piano, but that's still a work in progress!

I play bass. I love the sound, and in a band I get to be the shy person no one really cares about but everyone needs *laughs*

I played the flute from when I was 5 or 6, then quit in 8th grade. I did a lot of competitions, but I mostly just did it because that was the only thing my parents allowed me to do outside of studying. As soon as I got to high school I lost interest entirely.

I learned how to play guitar just last year, usually acoustic version of songs & a bit of classical. Also learned how to play the ukulele, which is really easy if you already know how to play guitar. But the first instrument I played was the recorder because everyone in elementary school had to do it. lol. I want to learn how to play the piano next & drums.

I used to play the flute, with the piccolo on the side, a small stint in percussion, then guitar and keyboarding. It's difficult to keep playing (in my experience), mostly because of classes/classwork, and how music isn't really my passion--I love listening to it, and the dexterity that goes with it, but I love drawing more.

I used to play the trumpet. I would love to learn to play the guitar, the violin, the drums, and/or the piano.

I used to play viola and bassoon. Picking up piano and guitar and once I'm on T for a while longer and my voice develops, I'm hoping to get back into singing again. Used to be in choir, actually.

I played piano when I was in kindergarden and 1st grade, and I've played flute since 3rd or 4th grade (about 7 years) and I like playing, but I never practice :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I've played viola for five years, piano for seven, and guitar for three. I haven't taken lessons for guitar and I'm not very good. I wish I had picked bass guitar instead sometimes. My life goals include at least trying bass guitar and drums.

I played piano when I was 5, until I was around 10 or so.
I then started to play the violin (fiddle). My grandfather actually found it in his basement (it was my great-uncle's old fiddle). I started that when I was 13(?) and played until 19, and I will occasionally pick it up still.
I'm currently trying to learn how to play guitar.

These days, the primary thing I play is the record player.

I played trombone a few years in school band. I was not particularly great--not really talented. As my 8th grade teacher and I joked, I was first chair--from the cabinet.

I learned a bit of piano in a 7th grade music class. I think we hit the giddy height of "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

I have sometimes toyed with learning something...but no idea what instrument, and I don't have the resources (e.g., cash) to make it viable. Plus I'm not sure I have enough energy and enthusiasm for the long haul.
