Do or Did You Ever Play Musical Instruments?

I play a little bit of acoustic guitar and a little bit of drums. I play the recorder and french horn and I sing. I want to learn piano, xylophone, flute, more drums and acoustic guitar, and ESPECIALLY the electric guitar!

I play the clarinet. I think its fun

 

I play the piano for fun at home. I especially like ragtime like Maple Leaf rag. For marching band, I play the vibraphone and the mellophone. Starting this year, I'm going to join concert band and attempt to play the french horn. Its so much more difficult to get the hang of than the mellophone.

I used to play baritone, tuba and handbells. I don't have access to those anymore though. I still have my trombone, so I play it a lot.

 

I use to play the piano when I was a kid my mom brought, me one and I use to play it all the time but my dad sold it and I can't remember how to do it anymore .:icon_sad:

 

I used to learn piano in elementary school but didn't get very far because my teacher would just give me the music then go and drink tea with my parents...
I'm now in my college band playing the saxomaphone

The one time I attempted to learn a musical instrument, it was the guitar. I had played for about two weeks, and then my mother pawned my guitar.

Never tried again after that. However, a cousin of mine, is a shredding beast on the guitar. He's insanely good at that, as well as piano. He casually writes his own stuff, and it is ridiculous, in a good way, to watch the process.

 

I played a tenor horn - badly.
I was in my primary school's brass band.

Unfortunately I kept puffing my cheeks out, and my brass teacher was always telling me to suck my cheeks in. In a school concert my brother (at about four years old) yelled 'She looks like a hamster!'

Not my happiest moment. I didn't even like playing it. I think I started because I had a crus on the brass teacher.

I really want to learn guitar, but that would involve having to talk to someone I don't know, which never goes well.

I had to learn to play some songs on the recorder when I was in elementary school, but I've totally forgotten how.

 

I play classical piano (been playing since I was 5, I'm actually pretty good), and that's the only one I've really stuck with. I played violin for a couple years, but I was terrible at it. I'm trying to teach myself to play some simple guitar (just chords for songs, nothing too serious), but that's about it.

 

i took piano lessons from an old lady from the time i was four to seven or eight but she died and so went my piano playing

Used to play piano- Hopefully I'll pick this one back up soon. I just don't have the drive or the attention span to practice regularly at the moment.
I've always wanted to play violin but given my track record of giving up, I don't know if I'll be able to convince myself.

 

I played the piano when I was a child. I stopped because I wanted to grow my nails long.

I love the piano, organ and violin.... And would love to play them. But with my long nails it is all but impossible. I suppose I will remain solely a vocalist.

 

I used to play violin, got to grade two, one point off a distinction and a pass (you can tell I lost some enthusiasm along the way...) and now I play guitar, have done for two-three years, and I've also stolen my sisters old keyboard which I mess around on now and then.
