Degrassi Introduces Trans Teen for Season 10

Oh yeah, I heard about this! I'm not a Degrassi fan, but I'm pleased to see that these teen shows are incorporating more LGBT characters. Go diversity!

 

I love Degrassi. It's definitely kept my interest for a long time. I'm glad they're starting to be more and more diverse and introducing a trans teen.

 

I hate how slow the writers are introducing the new kids. Also, they're focusing a little too much on certain characters. Or maybe I'm just impatient and picky. >_>

I don't watch Degrassi anymore either, except for searching out the Riley episodes online. A trans character sounds like a good watch, too.

 

Riley's storyline is kinda boring IMO. I mean, it's ok but nothing great. Maybe it's because I just don't really relate to him at all(besides the fact that we're both gay).

 

What?! I'm SO interested in Riley's storyline. But that's mostly because I think Shannon Kook-Chun is HOT. Every scene with him I just stare at the screen dazed

 

I prefer Drew. The scene where he was on the bike and all sweaty was amazing!!

 

x2x2x2x2y2, I like drew, too! But I can't really choose between him and zane. As for the flag pole thing, that was pretty nice to see, even if it wasn't much

 

I liked tonight's episode and find both Zane and Drew to be hotties. :lol:

 

Lol totally agree about the pole scene. I replayed that scene a few times and still couldn't spot much. From the commercials it looks like there's gonna be something between Drew and Alli, so maybe we will get to see him shirtless there. I hope so!!

I really really wish Riley would cut his hair short again. He is somewhat attractive when it's short IMO. I can't stand it long.

But if not, I still think it would be a waste if we don't get to see drew shirtless so cross your fingers!! I agree, short hair Riley is much more attractive. The long hair isn't doing it for me :/

I honestly don't like Drew's character at all. He's pure eye candy for me at this point. I wonder how Drew's relationship with his transgender step brother is. I'm assuming it's not good, but you never really know.

 

haha ok x2y2 it is Well, I don't think I can say much about drew right now, his character hasn't developed enough...but I think he will end up being a nice guy. Maybe the fact that his step brother is transgendered actually makes him more open minded? Oh by the way, the episode with him and Allie just aired today. It's was really random...they hardly know eachother and...well you'll see.

Haha, Revan, I've never seen Riley in season 8 because I didn't really watch degrassi until season 10 (and a few episodes of season 9) Ew, I don't want to imagine him with hair that long. D:

 

Wait what season did Clare and alli join in?? Wasn't it season 9?? I thought Riley joined in season 9 with them??

And Drew wasn't shirtless. I'm still keeping hope that he'll be shirtless in an episode soon.

I felt guilty for hating Marco so much. I mean, what, the only gay on the show, and he has to be insufferable? It was really hard to root for him.

But then Riley showed up. <3 <3 <3

 

Just watched today's episode. Almost cried when K.C. hugged his mom at the end. lol I'm so weak. Also, I really like the Clare+Eli storyline. I love how different they are.
