I listen to a wide range, 16th century to 20th.

Tchaikovsky is my favourite, though he's not technically 'classical'.

I compose a little - for my GCSE/A level music, but I always make sure it's something I consider good, not just something that will get me good marks...and I plan on continuing a little composing once I've finished A levels.
I've written a minimalist piece for a chamber orchestra, that I plan on making into a set of four
Also a neo-classical piano sonata - I've written the first 2 movements so far
I'm also planning on writing a flute concerto at some point

Minimalism, hey? That's cool. I've listened to some of Schoenberg's music in that style, and it's certainly interesting. I recently found this on Youtubne, a minimalist string quartet: ‪'The Skeleton Dance' quartet by Jon Phipps.mp4‬‏ - YouTube

I would love to write a concerto at some point, but I haven't studied orchestration yet.

I'm a classically trained pianist. I've wandered off and play much different music nowadays but when I'm having a bad day I like to settle down and play Moonlight Sonata.

I love the stormy third movement a lot more than the more famous first.

  6. Not a huge fan, but I like hearing Vivaldi sometimes.

Does soundtracks count as classical music? I really like The pirates of the Carribean soundtracks.
One Day - At World's End, track 12 ---- I LOVE the ending.
Davy Jones - Dead Man's chest, track 4 ---- the music box is amazing.

although it appears to be sombre to me, its lovely, moonlight sonata....

I love the Dance of the Goblins by Antonio Bazzini, though that might be more of a Romance era piece. Beethoven's Große Fuge is another favourite; it will always sound contemporary. I've only composed one thing of my own, a short duet for flute inspired by the Pavaen Lachrymae.

Classical music is something I do enjoy quite a bit. I keep trying to learn more about the composers, periods and "forms", but it's weird how little seems to stick with me. Luckily, I don't really need to know too much to simply enjoy it. I seem to like a lot of the oldest stuff - "early music" up through Renaissance and Baroque. I like Classical and Romantic stuff just fine, but I guess I like the simplicity of the earlier works.

Probably too many suggestions. Do you have any favorites? It's easier to jump off from something I know you like than to fumble through blind. If not, I can give you some popular ones to start off with.

As much Chopin as you can get your hands on.
    Handel's Messiah
    Bach's cello suites
    Mozart's piano sonatas
    Beethoven's symphonies
    Bernstein's Candide
Christiansen choral works (any you can find, especially Praise to the Lord and Wake Awake)

That should be a pretty accessible and well-known list.

And some living composers (mostly choral; that's just what I'm familiar with)...
Whitacre: Sleep, Cloudburst, Lux Aurumque, Nox Aurumque, little tree, The Seal Lullaby, A Boy and a Girl, When David Heard, OCTOBER (!!!), and Alleluia (as soon as there's a recording available)
Lauridsen: Les chansons des roses (all five), Madrigali (all six), Sure on this Shining Night, Lux Aeterna (the whole thing), and O Magnum Mysterium
Gjeilo: Ubi Caritas, Northern Lights, Sanctus, Tundra, Contrition
Ticheli: Earth Song, There Will Be Rest, Loch Lomond
Stroope: The Conversion of Saul, Caritas et Amor
Barnum: Afternoon on a Hill, The Sounding Sea

In terms of recordings, I highly recommend While You Are Alive by Cantus, or any of their recordings, really.

Classical is my absolute favorite 'genre' of music, I've listened to more of it than any other. Unfortunately I don't play an instrument, but I don't really mind being just an admirer of classical.

I've more or less been limited to music and composers from the nineteenth-century onward, though I have listened to those from earlier periods occasionally. At the moment, some of my favorite composers include Ives, Adams, Messiaen, Part, Stravinsky and I also like a fair amount of Ravel, Shostakovich, Vivaldi, and Debussy [to name a few.]

I never really listened to it much before, but I took a Music Appreciation class to fulfill my fine arts requirement last semester and have found that I am a fan. It wouldn't be completely true to say I enjoy all music from these periods (can't stand aria or oratorio), but I have found that I enjoy some types of music from the Baroque, Classical, Renaissance, and Romantic periods.

    Particular pieces I enjoy include:

Bach - Double Violin Concerto in D Minor, 1st Movement
Bach - Brandenburg Concerto #4, 3rd Movement, presto
    Beethoven - Piano Sonata No.21, OP.53, Waldstein, 1st Movement
    Bizet - Farandole from L'Arlésienne, Suite No.2
    Mozart - Symphony No.40 in G Minor, 1st Movement
Pachelbel - Canon in D Major
Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez, Second Movement

I'm sure there are a lot more that I enjoy, these are just the ones that happened to come to mind.

Not really a musician myself. I took piano lessons when I was younger, but have unfortunately forgotten most everything about it. Would love to learn how again sometime.

Sorry, just doesn't do it for me. I try to avoid saying music sucks as I understand that different people have different tastes and opinions, so please don't take offense to it. It simply isn't my cup of tea.
