Are you Dominant, Submissive, or in between?

I kind of assumed this was about BDSM. I guess I have a dirty mind or something.
Just in normal life, I'd say I'm more dom because I like to do things my way!

 

Well IRL out of the bed I HATE being told what to do, but I also hate telling others what to do. I'd rather us all just get shit done without needing to be told!

Now for the bed...I am more versatile, in both meanings.

 

In 'day to day' life: I'm hate having to boss people around, and I hate to be bossed around.

Sexually: More submissive then not (after all, I did just buy a new pup collar, with quick-release latch!), though I'm fairly versatile given the right circumstances.

 

I'm more submissive but I wouldn't do BDSM (unless there's no physical pain). I'm also exclusively the "top" in sex, but i'd always be submissive each time.

 

I would be somewhere in between. Sexually dominant almost always, on daily basis it depends.

 

In between! It's fun being the submissive one and seeing what the person will do to me lol

 

I asked one of my girl friends (no, not girlfriends) and she says dominant so there you go.

 

Definitely submissive, I've never really enjoyed being the "top" ever tbh.

Now, I can absolutely play a role, but I am not truly the least bit submissive. Though it would be an outright lie to call me dominant all the same.

Submissive, as usually things will never go my way. I always give in to others' orders and requests. I suck as a leader. Bleh.

 

Oh, outside of the bedroom, I'm very dominant. I'm not dominant in the sense of wanting to have people follow me or admire me, but I am dominant in the sense that, if I make up my mind about something, I'm going to have my way. I don't like people thinking that I have all of the answers. It's just that, when I do have an opinion, I am always right, and I love saying "I told you so."

 

When I was with my same sex partner I was definitely more submissive, not only in bed but in the relationship. When she got deployed to Iraq for a year and I had to live by myself again for a while it was very difficult at first, so I had to become more independent.

With my current male partner, it definitely started out with me being dominant. Not as in BDSM or anything, just that I was the assertive one. I hadn't had sexual relations with anyone for almost two years, and he was afraid of making the first moves due to him thinking I was strictly a lesbian. I felt like a male Vulcan going through pan far :lol Now it's more in between most of the time, although I'm still more in charge in non sexual things. This is partly because we have a team like partnership where he values my opinions. He's not like some straight males who think "I'm the man, therefore I'm in always in charge" attitude.

 

It depends on the person I'm with. In some cases I'm neither. I'm a huge advocate of letting nature take its course.

Honestly, what does it really mean to be "submissive" and "dominate?"

I like to think of it as being more assertive vs. passive.

 

when I was younger I would have said submissive, now I'd have to go with in between because I've been both with different people. being dominant scared me a little cuz it certainly wasn't something I was used to and I liked it a lot and that gave me pause while I tried to figure out why. meaning, did I actually like it, or was I using this person to work out some frustration at her expense.

 

I'd say I'm a switch. So far I've only played a dominant role but that's because my ex--who is my only sex partner thus far--was very submissive. I really like the idea of being submissive myself. In fact I'd probably go as far as saying I'd prefer to be submissive, although I'd probably be a crazy one.
