Are white Christmas trees tacky?

    Im getting ready to go home and Im considering having Christmas at my house, I like white trees but do you all think they are tacky. Just for fun, do you think they would be a clear sign of my white trash background?

    I don't think they are tacky, if you like them then just buy a white tree, who cares? I couldn't bring myself to judge anyone based on a Christmas tree and whoever can has too much time on their hands.

    Yeah. I mean, I think plastic trees of most kinds are pretty lame. But I'm a mountain man who goes out and cuts a wild tree or two every year instead of buying, so I'm biased.

    However, I associated white trees with middle class people, so I don't think it would be trashy. Also I don't really judge people by their tree, it's just my preference to have real trees and I'm too poor to buy one every year.

    :wink: Not pink Cadillac and French tips tacky, but just a little tacky. I tend to get campy around the holidays, my friends hate it but, secretly I love that they hate it.

    I don't think they're tacky at all. We have green trees (A big one and a small one) but I've always thought of white Christmas trees as somewhat superior. They're something different, if you get what I mean. Something out of the ordinary. Unique. And for those who have white Christmasses, I think the white trees resemble trees covered in snow. We have Summer now, and the part of South Africa I'm from, doesn't get snow, even in Winter. So go ahead and get a white Christmas tree. And if others think they're tacky, then maybe they should pull their heads out of their butts and get a life. I've never judged anyone of their tree (or lack thereof) because it's their prerogative. You have my vote for a white tree. If that makes me tacky too, then I'll gladly be tacky, lol.

    I usually think they're super-tacky. Unless you're going for a winter-wonderland theme where the tree would be covered in snow, hence a white tree would make sense.

    I think they look good with blue lights, I would also like a silver mini tree.

    I'd say go for it! Decorate your house the way you wanted it to look like for the holidays. Personally, I find white trees to look nice. :slight_smile:
