A little of everything, really, but mostly Slayer and Cannibal corpse these past two days, since there are a lot of tabs for those two bands, and I'm trying to learn a few of theirs. Oh, and crossover thrash, especially Suicidal Tendencies.

Depends whether Ozzy, Maiden, and Sabaton count as sufficiently metal.

So glad I found this thread!!!!! (!)

    Not in any particular order:
    System of a Down
    Skillet
    Parkway Drive
    Egypt Central
    Evanescence
    Slipknot
    Thy Art is Murder

I like singing/screaming/growling any metal song my voice can suit too! Recently I did Sugar by SOAD. So much fun to perform.

Anyways... before I sound like an arrogant f***; MAY WE ALL KEEP HEAD-BANGING!!

You should try some The Red Shore. the band is dead now and their last album wasn't much, I'm not a fan of the lyrics either, but these Australian kids could play man.

Yes I enjoy some metal bands. One of the first metal bands I ever got into was Deftones, but I'm not sure if people consider that to be metal or not.

YES, I love the sub-genres like black and death but i usually favor sludge and doom. The heavier the better. I like to feel like I'm being slowly crushed by the weight of the music.

Typically I'm a fan of the more European/Scandinavian power metal bands, or the American bands that emulate that style, and there's a lot of single MP3s I've gathered from suggestions from Pandora. Bands that have had several repeat hits with me are groups like Angra, Edguy, Kamelot, Sabaton, Stratovarius... I could keep going on and on. Big ones are the "Adjective Noun" bands, with the cheesy album art. You know the ones.

Pandora is a definite way to broaden your horizons. Went from something simple like a "HammerFall" seed, and picked up dozens of new favorite singles/albums.

not much of a metalhead. I'm more just into rock. the more modern stuff. metal's good too though.
