Welcome Suze. I am very sorry about your loss. EC is a wonderful place and has become a place of great support to me. I believe after you post 10 times you will be able to write on other members boards if you like. My favorite area is the later in life forum not sure if that applies to you, but there are always some very interesting conversations going on there.

Hey welcome to ec. We are all very friendly and happy to be your distraction. So sorry for your loss.
I love that thought! I am reading novels and watching Netflix movies for distraction from the sad feelings. If anyone has any suggestions for good ones to read/watch, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
My favorite all-time TV show was The Wire, if that gives you some idea. But I like all types of movies. What have you liked this week?
i have this week been watching American Horror Story box set on netflix. i am on season one so far. When i feel down or sad i sometimes but on my favorite music which is 80's and do some creative stuff like crafts.
When I first saw your thread you put up, I know of that feeling of feeling sad and looking for a distraction at a sad time. I remember when I lost my best friend when I was 20 years old. I was left feeling empty and loss. it happen so fast with what happen to him. If you want to talk about it I am here to listen. And this place is a great support for me. or just want to chat.
Thanks for your support. My partner slowly died over the last year of congestive heart failure. We lived together 15 years. I not only miss her, but don't like living alone. Weekends I usually have no human interaction except online. Yesterday and today I feel great fatigue. I am sorry about your friend. That's the type of thing you always remember.
