the other day i was at target with my mom and i bought some really nice button-ups! when we went to check out and the lady was putting the button ups in a bag she smiled at me and told my mom that i was going to be a very handsome boy in them obviously she probably thought i was twelve, but its nice to know that i passed (even if only as a prepubescent boy).

 

thank you, i like your name too. congrats on passing and having your mom supporting you in this, its so helpful not to struggle against them to be you.

im very proud of my son, he's overcome a lot to get here, and he's going to be a great counselor.

 

I've slowly been "coming out" to more of my co-workers about being trans. So I doubt most people in my department will be surprised when I get my name changed sometime this summer. Goodbye being called P___ in public, hello being called Akari.

I'm finally considering getting in contact with a therapist, and trying to make it lead to a gender therapist. Kinda scared and super excited.

Oh, and my friend figured out I was trans from my posture and a one picture of me in makeup.

Not sure if these are victories, but I thought I should post.

I've been doing things shirtless in my bedroom (like tidying, making the bed, cleaning my glasses etc; small everyday things) and feeling comfortable. I also braved my way down the hall to clean my teeth a couple of times.

 

Yes finally I have an appointment!

Just now realizing that theater gives me an excuse to go and buy makeup without seeming suspicious to my family.

 

ahh, extra points for thinking out side the box.

 

so I have to have an ultra sound on my leg today, I got to work and realized I didn't take the nail polish off my toes, oops. then I thought, what about the technician? then I said the heck with it, there's nothing I can do about it now anyway so she's gonna see my toes all done with this awesome red. I would have cancelled before and rescheduled but now im comfortable enough with it. so yayy me.

 

Yay you indeed! And I'm sure the technician has seen toes with nail polish before and won't mind

I've been doing voice exercises to get my voice into a more androgynous range and I'm finally starting to see results. The lower end of my range has dropped from F3 to D3 and my deep speaking voice is starting to sound more natural

 

I'm finally growing a spine and publicly expressing my gender. I've started binding in public (not with a real binder, just using the double-bra trick) and I've started to wear shorts, which show off my unshaved legs. I'm considering coming out to my parents soon and re-coming out to my friends.

 

thanks, she didnt say anything but i also couldnt see her face so i have no real idea how she reacted but i really dont care, they know at the clinic that im trans and the person who did the ultra sound actually is one of my therapists best friends and wife of my doctor. she's a registered nurse BTW.

yayy on getting your voice lower, im trying to 'lighten' mine so i have a more feminine lilt and cadence.

 

I wasn't trying to pass and I even have long hair, but I overheard kids asking if I was a girl or boy. That used to bother me, but not anymore.

 

Got my current hormone levels yesterday.
T is at 0.4nml/l
E is at 529pml/l

Those are happy numbers; I look at those numbers and it makes me happy.

 

I overheard girls talking about me in the cafeteria. They thought I'm a super cute guy.

 

I got appointment to come to an initial meeting for my local lgbt group.
