I got my hatching eggs safely in the mail and also picked up the ones from a local source. Going into the incubator tomorrow and three weeks later I should have some really cool birds! I know it's a little thing but this has really made my day and taken a lot of worry off my shoulders as I have never ordered eggs through the mail before.

Also had a couple pieces of other good news today which was good as two days ago I got a nasty whopper of a bit of scary WTF news. Hopefully that bad situation is worked out but still WOW hell of a scare.

Tomorrow is hard hard hard work day so here's hoping I make it through it without completely be-boogering myself.

    "Dancing Through Life."
D'aww. Thanks. I take that as a compliment, even if it wasn't meant one way or the other

Thank you, both DrW and BlueandWhite. I really appreciate it.
It's in a month, and after officer elections (actually that's when they are announced), so I think it's the best time.

How is my lit class harder than my bio class? How is this possible? I hate science. I love books. But lit is still harder than bio. :icon_redf

Does anyone else despise that feeling that arises when you have just come off of a very heavy workload and can't grasp the fact that there actually isn't something that you should be doing? I almost feel guilty for not having done much of anything today, when in reality I can't figure out one thing that I should be doing.

Lit classes can easily become the most difficult part of any schedule. Maths and sciences can be painfully content heavy, but they are always very systematic and methodical. Lit courses are always a coin toss as they can drastically differ based on professors, their grading style, and personal choice of literature. I'm struggling to raise my grade back up to an A in the next few weeks as we speak...

I really can't stand people who say "I miss you" all the time, yet make no effort to connect with you or catch up or talk other than the neverending I miss you's. Like, I'm flattered that you miss me, but don't just say it 50 times--try to make an effort to be in my life for once, ya know?

Is Twitter-based stalking as tacky as Facebook-based stalking?

Stardust is still one of my favorite movies ever.

My dog has an appointment tomorrow at the veterinary hospital to get looked at. She's been having seizures lately. I hope she's okay. (Retrospectively, this is probably the chief cause I can attribute my rambling on in this post to...)

My car (God, I'll never tire of using that phrase) should hopefully be done at the mechanic's too.

A good friend of mine was accepted into the study-abroad program at her school. She won't be home this summer, but rather in Galway, Ireland. She's stoked to both explore her paternal heritage and study some legal-sounding gubernatorial things. I'm thrilled for her, but I miss her already since she's away at school. :frowning2:

Being the reverse-hipster that I am (meaning: I don't seem to catch on until the bandwagon is halfway to its destination...), I've fallen hard for Game of Thrones at the behest of a friend. Damn, I didn't even want to like it, but it's so captivating.

Once again it's 2AM, fun. is on perpetual repeat, I ought to be sleeping, and inspiration hits. Though I suppose if it came at a more convenient time it wouldn't be nearly as romantically artistic. I really need to start writing again.

Plus I got to order more tea. I'm excited as cuss to try this new "Monks' Blend" I picked out. It's supposed to be "a dramatic blend of black tea, grenadine, and vanilla - evocative almost of chocolate in it's heady aroma."

This whole week has consisted of me getting 4 hours of sleep, then being out with classes and field placements until late afternoon, coming home, eating my first (and last) substantial meal of the day, passing out for a few hours and waking up to work on homework until 3 in the morning. Then it just all all repeats.

I'm worried about my knee.. it hurts for no reason. I might have pulled a tendon or something.

The weird thing is, my family has a history of knee problems AND cancer, so everytime I hurt, my brain immediately jumps to CANCER!!! Even if I know it's not...

How is it some people seem unaware they are living the existence of a cartoon character? I wonder if the sudden appearance of dialogue bubbles above their heads might clue them in a bit?

I just got asked to buy cigarettes for a bunch of teenagers. I wasn't entirely sure what the correct course of action was there. On the one hand, it was illegal, and smoking is bad for their health, but on the other, they do have the right to choose, and someone else would buy them if I didn't. Not buying wouldn't make them quit.

Also, it's getting closer to exam time. Just got an A* on a full test, on which others were getting Ds and Cs. Feeling good about that. But feeling concerned for a friend, who got a D, and needs As, and she hasn't improved since January.
