I can't put most of my responses here. There should be one pic where you can see my antique piano in the background... Find it.
I can play chopsticks! And can I just say that all of you are truly beautiful women. Your pictures are all so great and your personalities on here are just as beautiful!
Truth So funny too because for me the only two people I ever had a picture of in my head were V (Elsa from Frozen) and L (some combo of Jo from 'Facts of Life'---Angelina Jolie in 'Girl, Interrupted' ---and character Dallas from 'Below Her Mouth')
No, actually. It's an antique player piano. I don't play, but it's tuned and I would like to find someone to fix the tubing for the player component but folks that work on player pianos are hard to come by. Anyway, it's a massive massive piece of furniture that I inherited. It has a lot of good memories for me. I have tons of player scrolls in my basement.
Wow, I was busy today and this thread exploded! To catch up- - We're a good looking group of ladies - Tattoos are awesome. I don't have any yet but there's three specific ones I want. Need to start getting this done! - I need to post a pic or two. Is that the official price for entry into the exclusive EC slumber party? Will there be old school Mario Kart and Hide and Go Seek in the dark!?
It is pretty awesome. That piano was how I learned about Janis Joplin, Simon and Garfunkle. My mom had the Pina Colada song. Not kidding. Autumn Leaves. Mr. Bogangles, which made me cry, St James Infirmary Blues. Then when she passed away, the piano became mine. Jesus, I have stories to tell how I stored the thing, moved the thing, loved the thing, hated the thing. A lot of emotions are tied up in it so now she's mine for life I guess.
That is sooooo cool. My grandmother had a player piano in her house--fascinating (mesmerizing) to all us grandkids running around. So weird too because you know how kids just destroy everything. But that antique player piano got a lot of respect from us. Without even being warned we knew it was way too cool to wreck! What a nice piece to have inherited! I hope you never get rid of it. My grandmother died many years ago, and at the time no one in the family wanted the piano. So sad!
