What color is the dress?

So what color is the dress? 0.0

 

I think the real dress is blue and black, but the contrast and color balance in that pic are so apeshit bananas that it causes it to look distinctly white and gold to my eyes.

 

My best guess it is the color "crocodile".

 

It looks bluish-white and gold to me. Doesn't look blue and black at all lol.

That's the weird thing? The first time I saw it I laughed because my friend posted it to FB and I was like "wow these people are ridiculous it's clearly white and gold*laughs*" But I decided to screenshot it, but when I came back to my screenshot it was blue and black! At least that's what it looked like to me :lol:

I did a little digging and found the real dress is blue and black but even then why do so many people look at the exact same photo and see different colors! I asked everyone in all of my classes and it was so divided it's insane :lol: this girl has started World War III :lol:

 

I've seen it as both white and gold and blue and black. Currently it's blue and black.

 

On my phone it's obviously black and blue.

Is this a joke?

 

Different people are looking at the exact same photo and seeing different colors, take this picture for example ^^^ I see blue and black but others see white and gold? If you want to know more simply look up "what color is the dress?" :lol: this is what the Internet has come down to :lol:

 

I saw it as white and gold the first time, and very rarely do I see it blue and black. I have to spend a lot of time not looking at it, then look quickly to see it as blue and black, and then it quickly morphs to white and gold. However, I know that it is truely blue and black. It fascinates me, not because it's an Internet fad, but because I've never seen a picture that played that kind of trick on my eyes.

 

My FB wall has been bombed with this. I have actually seen it both black and blue as well as white and gold. Creeps me out a little.

The "white" part is actually a light blue (random colour sample: 105;113;150 rgb), while the "black" part is actually dark brown (random colour sample: 101;88;72 rgb).

 

Apparently those seeing it as black and blue are in the minority...I didn't know this until someone told me. 72% see the dress as white and gold and it completely baffles me because I don't see it...

I've seen it in white & gold AND blue & black (I saw it at different times during the day). However, I took a screenshot of the picture and checked the colours of the pixels, and it's definitely blue and brown.
