I just got my hair cut really short and I'm probably getting my binder tomorrow. I'm so excited.

When my 9 year old brother came into my room earlier (he doesn't know about my trans-ness), he said, "Hey boy!" The hair is really throwing him off, he knows something is up! Within the past week or so he's also begun referring to me as 'bro' which makes me smile.

Congrats to Penta and Yaeli! Those are huge steps! (*hug*)

My barely 3-year-old brother decided that I am his brother. "Because I look and act like a boy".

I told my friends I am a boy and that I would like to not be referred to as a girl! They then asked for my new name

Planning to ask my parents to use they/them pronouns when I get home. Here's to hoping all goes well!

    That's awesome! Congrats!

My gc2b binder finally got to me today! I would totally recommend it to anyone here! It was very comfy and breathable, it didn't dig into me at all. It fit perfectly. I'm only a B cup but it compressed so well, even in a freaking skintight shirt I looked flat. I mean, getting it on and off was hell but that was to be expected .
    So happy right now.

I had a couple of victories regarding my name in the last days.
I chose Christian over a year ago and now I'm finally getting more used to it so I felt ready to introduce myself as Chris for the first time ever in a group of asexuals I joined! It feels really good to be referred to as Chris by so many people.
I asked a good friend what masculine/neutral names she thinks suit me and in the 10 or something names she told me there also was Chris.
I asked my mom how she'd name me as a boy and she said she didn't care about names or gender because the person counts and she only wants me to be happy, so she kind of told me she wouldn't even be sad if I changed the name she gave me. Then a few days later she told me that she thought about the name thing and really likes the name Christian and thinks it would suit me and that really surprised me, I thought it was a joke but it couldn't be one since I never told her that I chose exactly this name. I actually didn't want to tell her my chosen name yet but well I kind of had to in that situation.
So I'm kind of happy now, I obviously look like a Chris and I love this name and with every day it feels more like me. And it is kind of relieving to know my mom is so supporting and isn't even sad about the name changing and it is even easier for me because she would have named me Chris
It feels so good after months of doubt and standing still to finally make some progress again.

I added a few friends in my male facebook profile and came out to them with a post. I wanted to tell more people this way, but half of them didn't accept my friend request. However, in my post I told those people that it's ok to tell all our mutual friends and aquentances that I'm trans, because i'm tired of hiding my true self. So, I guess this might count as my public come out. I don't know how it will go, but I hope it will work. I only didn't add people from my university class, but I'm planing ot come out to them later this year. Maybe around New Year.

Managed to post a few replies on these forums - micro victory for the community, but a giant victory for me (don't get too many chances to go to support websites)

Can we flood this thread tomorrow with good things? I was thinking that might be a good way to honor our fallen brothers and sisters...

Also I'm wearing the trans pride colors on my nails tomorrow, it's the first time I've worn anything trans pridish so... I'm counting it as a victory..

    Aren't we doing just that?

This thread is for sharing our joys and triumphs. Unless I'm mistaken... which I don't think I am as the thread creator.

I'm at the DMV legally changing my gender. Finally happening. Very excited. And it's all in time for me to fly out for Christmas.

Thanks! Now just need to head to social security, change my SS card, and eventually get a new birth certificate and passport.
