I also think it's a great scene but I don't think it would have worked. We all know why Callisto sought oblivion. To rid herself the pain of living an empty life that she justifies with killing. What she became after she lost her family is no different than how Xena was. Also the scene feels out of place with what happened in the episode. Callisto was helping Hope. Why would she stop by to chat with Xena?
If you remember correctly Hope wasn't giving Callisto what she wanted fast enough so she turned to Xena because she knew Xena would give her oblivion. She knew that Xena would get the dagger and kill her. So at first she was helping Hope then she turned on her in the second part of the episode
Anyone checking out Lucy Lawless on that Agents of Shield show? The new season just started: Lucy Lawless Promises a Butt-Kicking Turn in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. | E! Online
lol same here  Every time I see Lucy on another show I keep thinking she could be doing a Xena movie right now instead of this :/
Omg that would be epicness! :icon_bigg She'd make a really badass villain too! I wonder what Renee O'Connor has been up to these days? Haven't seen much of her since Xena ended :/
I watched Lucy on Spartacus, and she was epic as Lucretia. Yes, it was very revealing, and almost like porn haha, but she was genius as Lucretia.
I will admit its a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine I own all the DVD sets. Its a fun show to kick back and watch after a long day. Autolycus was always my favorite character....but then again, its Bruce Campbell! What's not to like? Also, I love that Lucy Lawless is so outspoken in her support for LGBT rights. Can't say the same about that bat s*** crazy lunatic Kevin Sorbo :/
From what I've read, she has done a few independent films. ---------- Post added 13th Oct 2014 at 02:36 PM ---------- Autolycus ftw (!)
Speaking of Autolycus... I looked up Renee on imdb and it says she was in a movie with Bruce Campbell a few years ago! It looks like one of those B-grade low budget films but I'm curious to check it out just for the two of them.
Speaking of Bruce Campbell, apparently he came to my city for our comic expo (last year I think). Wish I had known.
Completely addicted when I was a child. Wouldn't mind a reboot as long as they kept true to the spirit of the original and didn't try to turn it into a modern show, i.e. make it 'gritty realistic', 'angsty romantic' or any of those modern tropes.
I'm against a reboot. It was a great show! Better to leave it alone than screw it up. Besides, it wouldn't be the same without Lucy and Renee.
