When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little, I wanted to be a police officer, fire fighter, astronaut, ballerina, or brain surgeon. I currently have no idea of what career I'm going to pursue, so it's a good thing I have a while until I need to decide. :icon_bigg

 

I wanted to be a firetruck, I was devastated when I realized I couldn't actually turn into a fire truck.

After that, I wanted to be an astronaut for the longest time.

Now I'm becoming a Registered Nurse. Eh. Close enough!

 

I think around 7 years old I decided to be an animator. Stuck with that until I'd almost finished high school when I realized that the field had changed and that it wasn't going to get me what I want in life. Then I switched to ESL Teacher (which I am).

And now I want to add Counsellor to my repetoir!

 

When I was 7, I wanted to be both a ballerina and a doctor. I know that sounds odd, but now that I think about it, it wasn't such a bad idea. If I broke my leg or sprained an anckle while dancing, I could fix it myself. I'd save hundreds on medical expenses. :lol:

 

I wanted to be a space judge to handle legal situations in space...

 

I had quite a lot of interests..

Cartoonist, Director, Doctor, Dentist...

..but now that I'm at the age where I need to choose. I feel most passionate about dentistry, which is what I'm trying to pursue right now.

 

When I was a kid I never really had a dream job and now I do. I'm the entertainer, actor, writer, film maker and politician as a backup.

Well, I've wanted to be a primary school teacher since the age of 7, but before that I wanted to be a lifeguard.
I can't swim in a forwards direction, so that failed.
However, my first wish was to be a gold digger. Literally. I wanted to mine diamonds and gold.
I was a strange child.

 

well...being gay wasnt in my plans!
anyway, voice actor, lawyer (gay lawyer! The best therell be!), or test video games for a living

Okay, maybe... i might have had a slight obsession with "The Cities of Gold".

a hero of justice!

 

I wanted to be so many different things. Teacher, shrink, lawyer, accountant, janitor, housekeeper, soldier, librarian, shopkeeper, translator, mechanic, detective, factory worker, inventor, politician, actor, voice actor, writer, artist, designer, taxidermist, scientist, secretary, and a bunch more I don't remember.

Nowadays, I want to be a housewife. I want to marry a successful woman and keep house while I write in my spare time. I'm getting pretty good at cooking and cleaning, and the absence of men insures an easier job cleaning. Or at least the absence of the filthy bastard I have to clean up after. You don't want to know.

 

A "scientist".

I didn't know what scientists did. I just knew that they wear lab coats. I just wanted to wear a lab coat, really.

 

The blue power ranger obviously! Or harry potter....

 

Since I was five I've wanted to be a Nurse.

 

An astronaut.

 

A superhero or someone who saved the universe on a regular basis with or without superpowers (cause you know, it's more impressive if you just use cleverness :lol: )

In terms of careers I dabbled with the idea of being a vet when I was very young before I realised some animals couldn't be saved and I would end up having to put a lot of them to sleep. Then later my most enduring ambition was to be a forensic pathologist.
