Sorry to go negative but does anyone feel no matter how hard they try things keep going permanently, but they never go right, like they're cursed by someone or something?.
Phil.....I think we've all felt like that at times. I certainly felt that way just before I accepted that I am and always have been gay. It was a very dark time for me and I know that many people here on Empty Closets have been in those dark places. We just have to hold on to the fact that the dark times DO NOT last. We have to reach out to others around us and others here on EC for the support that we need so badly in those times. We also have to learn to accept the support that is offered to us. So often it's easy to offer help to others but difficult to accept it. You may be in a difficult place right now...BUT IT WON'T LAST! .....David
Oftentimes things will always go wrong or not according to plan. You have to turn it around by adapting, thinking on your feet, and making it work for you regardless of what transpires. Observe, adapt, learn, survive, Live. Success and progress isn't necessarily a win but it's not a loss and it's about moving forward. Take the wins when you can. When things go wrong seek out what success you can from it and use it to move forward. It will still be hard and it will still hurt. But you won't be stuck forever

Sometimes. We all get days like those, don't we? Are you talking about the guy who came on to you? Who would he out you to? Does he know your close friends/colleagues? Beth
Depends which issue we are talking about. I think dating is difficult and the fact that the vast majority are straight, wants children and pets makes dating feel hopeless. I'm a tiny minority in an already small minority. But other than that, life seems very random. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's bad.
