My Girlfriend is gender questioning, but prefers female pronouns. Sometimes I use partner, sometimes girlfriend and sometimes I just call her bae XD It started as a joke and now I can't stop, help me :roflmao:

Call him your manfriend. It is like boyfriend but more grown-up.

Let's go deeper. Call him your mancubine. You know, like a concubine but with a penis.

"Beloved" is good. I also quite like "dear" as well.

You are one of many to say this...and I hear you...but...

Consider that we share our finances, income, checking accounts, credit cards, a friggin' *mortgage*. We do most things together, we consult each other before making any major decision. Certainly *sounds* like a partner, doesn't it?

If it was *just love*, I'd say yeah, gf. But when it reaches this level, to me, partner is the shoe that fits.

Wife? I don't own her. People put that one on us sometimes, and it just makes my skin crawl.

Mancubines are high-maintenance! I can't afford them! Yet! Only hook-ups for the time being.

    How about 'Sweetie'?

River calls The Doctor that and they've been together 100+ years.

Doctor Who fan, ignore me if you wish.

In Quebec, French-speakers use the word "Chum" for boyfriend, partner, or even husband...funny how an English word works so well in French.

Might be a Liverpool thing, but here we say 'fella' instead of 'boyfriend'.

I suppose I'd maybe say fella of it was informal.

The same, I don't like the terms "husband" or "wife," they seem so inflammatory. If you don't care for "partner," might I suggest "companion?"

When we get married, he'll be my husband.
