Every Time We Touch-Cascada

This song was the favorite of an ex-girlfriend of mine who committed suicide while we were dating...

I don't think I've ever cried during a song.
I've almost cried in a couple of pieces, but half of them have been out of extreme pain as my chops have been totally dead and it's in an awful register of bassoon or when brass players decide to play triple f right at the back of my head for an extended period of time and the other half have been the high emotional points of the musicals I've played for.

The Colour Purple - I'm Here (this performance especially)

Sigur Rós - Sæglópur (unfortunately not the full version from Takk... , but still beautiful)

Bat for Lashes - Siren Song

Imogen Heap - Wait it Out (the song doesn't start until around two minutes in)

LIFT - Lost in Translations (stunning song about a girl with a crush on her female best friend, just ignore the dialogue halfway through)

There's one or two f-bombs in the above video but nothing too serious.

And there is my eclectic mix of tearjerkers

Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles. Signature is obvious. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Road Trippin' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's such a soft, beautiful song. The melody and everything really get to me, and so do the lyrics. They remind me of my childhood, when things were a lot simpler, and I would go on vacation with my family (before it, ahem, fell apart). So yeah. Even if you aren't a fan of RHCP, you should really listen to that song.

"Numb" by Linkin Park
The johnny cash version of "Hurt"
"O mio babbino caro" an aria from one of Puccini's operas, the first time i heard it i just started to cry and i well up each time i've heard it since, the soprano's voice and the orchestra in the back ground just touched something inside me. :slight_smile: I found out what the words meant in english not long ago and it really means a lot to me now too. Roughly translated it says;
" Yes, yes i'd rather go
To the Ponte Vecchio
And throw myself into the Arno
Than live without his love!
O father, please! I love him so!
O Lord! O father please!..."
Believe me it sounds far better in italian! But definitely worth a listen even if you hate opera/ classical music.

In the Sun - Joseph Arthur
Hardly Enough - WAZ
Yellow - Coldplay
Honestly - Cary Brothers

18. Disenchanted- My Chemical Romance
Without You- Rent
I'll Cover You (Reprise)- Rent
Something Wonderful- The King and I

Weird, yes, I know. The last one I feel needs explaining. It is sung during the play when the King dies, and when I was in it the last night was really emotional and everyone was crying for real and just hearing the song brings back that same emotion, so it makes me almost cry. Gah, I just cry too much.

Through Her Eyes and The Spirit Carries On - Dream Theater. I'm going to see them in 3 weeks (!) it's gonna be absolutely amazing - just the sheer raw emotion and energy in these songs, especially this particular recording is incredible.
